The Best Laptop Under $500

The Acer Aspire 5 A515-56-34A3 is fast enough, but it has an awful TN screen that looks harsh and has poor viewing angles. Its keyboard also feels stiff and cheap. It’s a cheap computer that works well enough if our picks are out of stock, but you’ll have to live with that terrible screen for the laptop’s whole lifespan

It is well built and has a great balance of specs that can manage a little bit of everything. Its quad-core CPU and 8 GB of RAM will keep it running smoothly even when you have lots of programs or tabs open. Its SSD will allow it to boot in seconds as well. If you want to upgrade the storage or RAM in the future it is very easy to do as well.

An option with long battery life

The Aspire 5 has solid performance, a great screen, a responsive trackpad, and long battery life. But it’s big and heavy, and its keyboard is only okay.

Acer Aspire 5 (2020, Ryzen 7) Review

The Acer Aspire 5 doesn’t have any big flaws, delivering on more or less exactly what it claims to. The price is reasonable, the processor is zippy compared to the competition, and you get plenty of ports. Not compromising your way into a big hole is half the battle with lower-cost laptops, and the Aspire 5 negotiates the course successfully

a real opinion

I could sit here and write all about the specs on this computer, but they are already in the description, and If you are like me... you don't really understand it anyways. So I am going to tell you what I LOVE about this computer and what I use it for. I am a full time college student as well as a s...

SSD SATA

I bought the equipment very recently, I uncapped it to fit an extra SATA SSD and I find that it does not have the slot to put the bus. What I can do? Ref: A515-44-R93G. Otherwise the equipment is excellent, fast, light, good design. Just for the detail of the SATA I give it 3 stars. Compré el equipo...

This is NOT a Budget Laptop!

This is the best laptop deal you can get, full stop. Touchescreen? Nope. That feature is stupid in a laptop, in my view. As you use the keyboard, incidental touche s of the screen change focus or move to different screens--touchscreen is a gimmick and sucks. The screen on this laptop is worth the pr...
