Jabra Elite 85h
Early Failure
Owned for 3 years, used Daily
- Stress Points
- The membrane of each driver became entirely delaminated within one year of use due to poor insulation from perspiration. This causes audio distortion, crackling and popping sounds even when the device is off, and strange noise-canceling and pass-thru effects. Pieces of the membrane were actually flaking off into the inside of the ear cups. Beware cheap replacement drivers, the noise-cancelling and pass-thru will not sound great if you get $5 replacement drivers.
- Positive Remarks
- The headphones themselves sound great and pair well with multiple devices. The drivers themselves are fairly easy to replace and high-quality replacements can be found at a variety of prices, just stay away from the cheapest.
