Turtle Beach Recon 50p

Broken

Owned for 0 years, used Daily

Stress Points
The speakers sucked immediatley after purchase, they sounded like actual speakers on low volume if you set it to full volume
At one point i spun in an office chair forgetting it was plugged in and it broke the headphone jack

Okay...well this isn't a 'review site' this is for suggested repairs for you, or others, that wish to try and fix the issue. Common speaker problems are usually from 1 of two things (assuming the speaker and wiring is all okay) but from 1) the volume control - these potentiometers or variable resisters are CRAP - you can remove them from the wiring series or bridge over the connections to bypass. 2) plugs are poorly wired and aren't soldered well inside the cords, or the wiring is very small diameter. Spinning around in your chair and forgetting it was plugged in isn't wise usage for a device with delicate parts...even brand new 3.5mm jacks aren't overly 'dependable'.
