Stress Points- The power buttons apparently fail internally, in a relatively quick period with light use. So you have a perfectly functional product with no way to turn it on and use it.
Imagine this is planned obsolescence with a part behind the power button internally that is engineered to degrade with time or use.

Same thing happened to mine. I've been using a key or screwdriver to push down near the edge closest to the end of the headphone. Pretty hard at first. After that you dont have to press hard for them to turn on. Plug them in to turn them off. Still going strong for 3 months!
