Sound Quality

1More’s earbuds sound great, but the fit might not be for everyone

Producing a great-sounding pair of wired earbuds is one thing, but true wireless headphones, particularly noise-canceling ones, are much trickier. A good fit and strong connection are essential, and that’s before you even get into the challenges of packing good-quality audio and noise cancellation into a tiny package.

Bill Callahan’s “Drover,” a track with far less deep bass in the mix, gives us a better sense of the UA True Wireless Flash X’s general sound signature. The drums on this track sound almost thunderous—there’s some serious bass boosting happening here, but the drivers manage to avoid going into wildly unnatural territory. Callahan’s baritone vocals also receive a healthy dose of added low-mid richness, but thankfully, there's plenty of added high-mid- and high-frequency sculpting in play, too. Perfect for the Gym

I use them for roughly an hour every day and so far I haven't had them die in a month (I always put them in the recharging case after use). That's around 30 hours of use and the charger is still at 50% remaining power. They were super easy to connect to my android via Bluetooth. The range on them is so good that I have left my phone at previous weightlifting stations more times than I can count

JBL UA True Wireless Flash

The JBL UA True Wireless Flash are great sports headphones that stand out thanks to their good audio reproduction and their rugged build quality. They're versatile for a wide variety of music genres, are sweat-proof and waterproof, and their bulky design feels durable for most intense sports. Their fit is good and fairly comfortable, on top of sealing off ambient noise, making them well-rounded for most everyday uses. Unfortunately, they won’t be great for watching videos due to their very high latency, and some may feel like four hours of battery life isn’t enough for a single charge

The 1More ANC Pro is your typical IEM with a small twist. While most IEM tips are circular, these tips are oval to match the shape of your ears. Using the right size, I was able to get a very comfortable fit with these proprietary tips. I would go as far as to say that these tips were one of the most comfortable fits I've had other than SHURE/Westone-like IEMs(which come from the shape of the chassis, not the tips themselves)

Don’t stay in my ears - not for long/hard running

I liked the idea of these ear buds but I can’t for the life of me get them to stay comfortably in my ears. For context, I am an average adult male, I don’t usually struggle with things not fitting me. Key thing to emphasize - I’ve tried all the various sizing customization pieces included with the buds, but I can’t get the right ear bud to stay securely and comfortably in my ear. To be clear, with the wrong fit these will fall out my ears without even moving, and with the best fitting combination I can get them to mostly stay but they are extremely uncomfortable (borderline painful in that my ear is moderately irritated/sore after wearing them a few hours)

The earbuds are also easy to control thanks to a physical power button and separate touch control for cycling through two levels of noise cancellation, pass-through mode and no ANC at all. You get about 5 hours of use on a charge, and a 15-minute quick-charge is all it takes to net you 2 hours of battery life.

Now that I've figured them out, I like them!

I couldn't believe how low but thankfully discovered I had enabled a "slight mute" feature that allows you to speak to others without stopping your music. Once I enabled that then, woah, these things sound great! So yes the sound quality is excellent (once properly fitted!) and these things really do perform well. I did give it an average score for noise cancellation because there isn't any active noise suppression, it's just noise is blocked by the inserts in your ear. My only complaint at this point is that there is no volume control on them

Bluetooth Connectivity

The mic signal is weak, and beyond that suffers from typical Bluetooth distortion. It's not hard to imagine callers not being able to understand you, especially if your mobile signal is at all compromised.

UA True Wireless Flash review: Excellent totally wireless sports earphones with only one flaw

They sounded well-balanced, with fairly natural sounding mids and meaty bass that's pretty well defined (read: not boomy). You're dealing with Bluetooth streaming so you're not going to get as clean or detailed sound as you would with a good pair of wired headphones, but most people should be pleased with the sound quality.

2. The sound profile is far from desired for this price range. I am comparing this to my 3 years old Sony MDREX450AP line earbuds which cost around 50$ and are blowing this ones with sound quality. 1MORE True Wireless Earbuds sounds thin, lot of bass and low mids are missing and it is really not enjoyable hearing experience

It's absolutely awful. These are low volume, medium quality for a high price. Don't buy them.

Battery Life

Inconsistent charging but good earbuds

I had to return the first pair I bought because the left earbud would say it needed to charge after 30 minutes of use (sometimes less). The pair I received as a replacement have a similar problem, but not as bad, with the right earbud. When it charges correctly the battery life is fantastic. When it doesn't (and I charge them the same way every time), the right earbud gets about 30 minutes before saying "low battery"

Some of the best ear buds I have ever had

They are amazing the battery life last me about a week in a half and most of the time I just charge it on my way to work. Having the usb c for charging works out great with me using Android. The noise cancelation works so good I gotta take it out to hear what someone is saying . Only thing I wish it had was an app to adjust some of the sound controls
