Freezes hard - but give it a little time and it will remain very cold but malleable. Much more comfortable than solid ice packs and far more useful than a bag of ice or packs that have melted. Get this and you won’t be dissapointed. Very sturdy

I do like the pack because it doesn't cause chaffing and it can fit a lot of different essentials. My last comment is that I tried to use some of my exoflasks with the long straws in the front (from my other vests) and unfortunately, that doesn't really work either since the front "loops" are too far away from the pockets where my bottles sit - so my straws were bouncing around all unsecured and that wasn't fun.

I recently had shoulder surgery and I've tried a wide variety of ice packs, including more high-tech sounding ones, and the ones with the clay-like stuff inside. I've spent a lot on packs, and spent a little, but by far this modestly-priced pack stays cold the longest. Like, cold for 12 hours cold. I stick one in a small cotton pillowcase, fall asleep with it, and the next morning this pack is still cold

Great for the long haul. Lightweight, pockets for GU / chews and phone. I like to freeze the hydration pack and is nice and cool against my back for warm weather runs in addition to ice cold drinking water!

If you have back issues or need an ice pack to cover a large area, this is your ice pack. My husband has chronic back issues so he uses hot and cold therapy per his doctor's instructions. Every time he takes the ice pack out of the freezer he says, "Now this is an ice pack!" He loves the large size and we've always been a fan of this brand due to their quality but had not purchased a large size pack before. Very pleased with the quality and size

And picked up a tip on how to prevent the bladder from sloshing around (let the air out of it before sealing). And I absolutely adore the color! It was worth every penny. And I stay hydrated on those 12+ mile runs! Happy Runner!! :) I cant recommend it enough
