I was looking for something that was comfortable with no sound leakage that I could drive directly from a laptop and not need an amp. The main purpose was just to listen to speaking videos with the above requirements. However, after reading the reviews it sounded like they would be good for music as well with an amp - which I do have (Mojo). So, unless I was wanting to listen to true audiophile music, I thought maybe this would save me from having to switch back and forth between headphones when I took a break from speaking videos to listen to some music At least that Is what I had hoped

Isolation - They have a lot of passive isolation to them when you have them on (can't hear anything with music on). Outside of the headphones they don't leak a lot of sound (unless you have them cranked, and even then it's not blaring). If you want to use a mic while listening to music, you wont hear yourself at all. Cons: ***Cable length - You will need twist ties to use these as portables, the cable is extremely long Cups don't rotate in both axis, so carrying these around gets tricky (awkward shaped and big)

COMFORT First things first. In my opinion these things have way too loose of a fit. Compared to Sennheiser 650s, which are snug and somewhat tight, these feel more like they'll fall off my head. SOUND These headphones tend to have a massive dip in the upper mids

They are a bit muted in the sound signature which can make them less fatiguing than other, more analytical, headphones. Mids - A bit to high level for me, it tended to make punk rock music sound very close and muddied Lows - A bit boomy but very spacious Audio Technica ATH M-50x Highs - Quite good representation, a bit cold though Mids - Nothing special, no major issues though Lows - Too over-emphasized -----------------Comfort--------------- Beyerdynamic DT 770 - Winner Perfect. I wore these on multiple occasions for more than 7 hours and never noticed any pressure points or discomfort. The headband is larger than average to distribute the pressure

Ultimately I am returning the K702 because the a) the 2khz hump is annoying to my ears, and b) the very wide sound stage is a bit too wide and unfocused. When I take them off and put my Senns back on, every instrument is immediately restored to perfect placement, but with the AKGs, it’s hard to place exactly where an instrument is in the mix. Instruments kind of dance from far left to far right. You don’t feel as close to the instruments as you do with Sennheiser, but I’d take the ‘intimacy’ of Sennheiser to get the accurate imaging

I'm not concerned with the way they look. They aren't displeasing to me - but I'm also not thinking these are the coolest looking phones, but I don't care about that.
