For me chafing comes down to the right fit/cut and good quality stitching. Bad seam = bad day

It might be a funny question, but I see no one talking about it, so here it goes:

Long distance running can lead to skin injuries due to sweat or skin rubbing (for example, on the inside of your legs above your knees and/or crotch). The problem is that having them may affect your speed or stop your race altogether, even when you're tired and you feel like running a lot more.

What kind of underwear do you use or recommend using while running in order to avoid these silly situations?

Edit: I'm a 32M, so my question comes from running men. Still, I guess it applies to both genders

Today I completed 18 miles. This is the longest I have ever run before. I am training for the Chicago marathon in oct and have a 20 miler coming up in the next two weeks. 

Throughout the run I felt good, I use body glide on my feet and my boob area, my ribs, my inner thighs. I wore bandages around my toes as they are prone to blisters. 

Everything went great and completed my run in my set goal time. 

I think each long run not only prepares you to run the marathon by getting you legs, lungs, and brain ready for the distance but also let's you know where in your body you need to maybe put body glide or bandages or whatever you need to run that distance. 

This run taught me I need body glide for my butt too as my butt now feels like it's on fire. Anyone experience this?

Wish I could just dip myself in body glide.

18 miles and what I've learned

I use this product almost every day. I have to wear FR clothing which can be very hot and not known to be soft and comfortable. This product keeps my thighs from chafing on those hot active days. I also hike and this helps there as well

 I can't wait for a dryer day to try again.  Ladies, you want this product for short shorts, skirts, or even bathing suits (you'll need to reapply). Super comfy glide effect and, again, NO residue which is huge. Actually, the glide effect I would compare to freshly shaved legs, with lotion that hasn't completely

It really helped to prevent me from developing terrible friction rashes between my thighs, under my arms, under my boobs, under my belly and so on.
