AMD Radeon RX 580 vs AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
Verdict
The AMD Radeon RX 580 is a great graphics card for 1080p gaming, capable of running all the games on the market. It offers good performance at a reasonable price point and is able to handle VR workloads. However, some users may experience driver timeouts or black screens while playing certain games, and there have been reports of game freezes when launching Dota 2 using OpenGL. Additionally, it may not be able to keep up with more demanding games at higher resolutions.
Verdict
The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT is a powerful mid-range graphics card that offers good performance for its price. It can easily beat the RTX 3060 12 GB models from Nvidia, and it even bests the RTX 3060 Ti in select games. However, AMD's driver support continues to be the company's main weak spot. It is recommended to upgrade the cooler to a Hyper 212 or PH-TC12DX as the 11600KF may get quite hot otherwise. Additionally, if you want faster shipping, choose the RX 6700 XT or RTX 3070 video card. The i5-11400F might also be a better choice than the i9 10900K for gaming in general due to its single-threaded performance being more important than multi-threaded performance.
