They are great fit, light weight and warm, but sadly they wear out too quickly, mainly the finger tips.

 Be careful opening drinks or performing tasks which they could get stuck as they will rip. Also great working around cold water, as they will wick moisture away quickly and they don't soak my camera when I use it. Can't praise them enough. Looking forward to what colors I grab next

Let's start with the positive part. The 5% of lycra makes this liner a whole lot more durable than altnernatives with 100% merino.

Wool is just great

 I can slip them on and off quickly to keep my hands comfortable. What I like the best is they breath very well so my hands don't get all clamby. Also they are small and light so I can take them with me even on days that you wouldn't normally need gloves but when you get above treeline and it's colder than expected these will save the day. I can't understand the bad reviews on these mine are in great shape with a year of heavy use

 For the same structural reason, the Rho seems a little more abrasion resistant when worn alone. If looking strictly for warmth, especially when used largely as a liner, go with the Gothic. If looking for all around use, especially on its own, the Rho may be a better option. Nice to have a pair of both for changing conditions/uses

I have compared this directly to the new Rho glove in temps at and just below freezing. The Gothic warms up more quickly when hands are in pockets or when working hard going up hill, and stays warmer than the Rho in calm conditions. However the Rho is a much tighter-woven, less air permeable fabric, so as soon as there is a cool breeze, the Gothic cools off more quickly. When used as a liner, I definitely felt that the Gothic was a little warmer than the Rho

I should say first that I haven't had the durability issues mentioned by some other reviewers, and in general I am very hard on liner gloves because I largely wear them on their own. Maybe the late 2017 version has addressed the durability problem. That said, the wool fabric of this glove has a structure that clearly won't take a severe bashing, so its not going to survive long if taken bushwhacking or scrambling over granite.

GU Energy Original Sports Nutrition Energy Gel, 24-Count, Assorted Flavors review

  (Plus, it's tough to carry a jar of peanut butter in your jersey pocket).  I have also tried Justin's nut butter packs, but this stuff goes down much easier.  I am going to try mixing with another flavor in the future, try to get that PB&J taste maybe??  The boost of energy is gradual, but lasts for awhile.  Great for rides

  If you don't have saliva, your issue isn't energy, you need some liquids.  Plus, drinking a little bit after a GU shot helps.  I've never had that "sit in the bottom of your stomach" feel with the GU gels.

I got a deal on the peanut butter flavor of the GU gels, skeptical at first.  The other flavors I have tried were good, but peanut butter?  Well, a couple of packets during a long ride convinced me that is the flavor for me!!  I love the fact I get the peanut butter flavor without the stick to the roof of your mouth stickiness.  When I got really zapped and was not sure I could go on. I stopped and had one packet took a drink, and got back to riding. There is a big hill that was coming up and I never make it up that hill. Today, I got a shot of energy right when it was needed and up the hill I went, and without any trouble! I had good energy for about about 30 minutes I would say? Then took another one and had no trouble with the last 12 miles home
