I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 You have another little stretchy area. Here goes all the way to the bottom: a couple zipper pockets here you could put SD cards or batteries or remote shutters or whatever you like there and that's the the camera compartment. As soon as I opened it I noticed loose threads along the zipper, and the package says 40D nylon instead of 70D in the description. BUT it is Peak Design and hopefully not a knockoff, and their products are usually great.

Nylon type is different on package than on amazon

I searched the web for a review of the PD Packing Cubes paired with Away Luggage. I travel almost non-stop. As someone who works in DC, has a home in NC, and travels often for work, my luggage is a workhorse. For 2 years, I've been using Away Luggage (the very best suitcase on the market!) and was interested to see how PD Packing cubes would integrate with the Away standard carry-on

 I decided to go with 2 mediums. As best as I could figure, 2 large would sit comfortable side-by-side on the compressible side of the suitcase. Medium cubes are too large fit one side of the suitcase. If you carrying Away (or any standard 20-inch carry-on), a medium and a small will fit comfortably in your bag

  The packing cubes are high quality and durable. Love them! They are well made, easy to use, and stylish. I have not complaints. I started by using the interior measurements of the Away standard carryon

  As someone who has logged many, many miles on the road and in the air, here are my recommendations for easy travel: Away Travel standard carry-on with built in battery, Peak Design Packing cubes, Peak Design Tech Pouch, Gravel Travel Premium toiletries kit, Bose QC 35 II's noise cancelling headphones, Boundary Supply Errant Pack.  Safe and happy travels.

We’ll start with the two security pockets on the back panel, near the side handle we discussed above. You’ll find a weather-resistant YKK zipper here that opens up into a small compartment. This is great for passports or other small, flat items. 

At the top of the bag, there is a sewn sewn nylon loop that is just padded enough to provide a comfortable carry—great for hanging the bag up or grabbing it quickly. We like how it’s got a really slim profile.

Above that is Boundary Supply’s secure double magnetic closure for your laptop and tablet. We kind of have mixed feelings about this system. On one hand, it feels a bit like overkill. On the other hand, it’s nice to have the additional security for your laptop if something were to happen—like if the bag were to get jostled around or fall off a table

[Boundary Errant]([URL REMOVED] \- This bag seems like it checks all the boxes. I also like that there are accessory bags / straps I could strap to the outside if needed . I'd probably use the water bottle storage for a u-lock.

* Convenient access to a pockets that would hold a mouse + charger when I use a laptop.

 Carry goods right now, they're all about making technical, innovative and durable products, but they also have a core sustainability value. As well, this is the errant pack, a 24 liter everyday backpack. Let'S check it out getting onto the materials of the bag. The errant is wrapped in a combination of two main fabrics

 Hopefully you can see that cable port that i mentioned earlier that gets into the commuter pocket. So if you had a portable battery in here and you had a cable feeding through there, you could charge your phone as you commute. That'S just how that works. Looking in from the inside now, you see this clip here

 Now this zippered compartment goes about this far into the back panel um. So you have this much space to store gear inside, but the things you want to be putting inside this compartment is like a passport, important documents, spare cash or emergency cash, and you want to be keeping the things you put in that compartment flat because you don't Want to affect the comfort of your carry on this side. We have another compartment that goes about this far into the back panel, so a slightly taller compartment, not too sure what you'll be putting in there, but it is secured down by velcro. So you have about this much space inside that compartment there, but what it also does is it houses this little accessory, strap here now this accessory strap is actually to secure down your shoulder straps so over here i can put this strap over the shoulder, strap and Over here there's a little loop, which i can hook this g hook and then i can just fasten that down and then secure that strap slack, and so if, in any case, you want to carry the bag as a brief, you can do so and you've got A little handle here to carry the bag and not have these shoulder straps flapping around everywhere, but what this strap also does is that it works as a luggage pass-through

 If i'm taking this bag climbing - and i want to get to my shoes or my chalk bag - it's good that i can just get it really quickly from the bottom. Instead of have it inside my main cargo, where smells or chalk will just go everywhere. So it's good to keep that all separated. Now one thing to consider is that if you are using this compartment, this will eat into your main cargo, so it will restrict how much space you have in your main cargo
