Comfort

Atlas Packs Athlete

(1/2)

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

CamelBak Daystar 16 Hydration Pack - Women's

(1/2)

I’ve come to love the vest style as I feel it distributes the weight better and is more comfortable. I love the front pockets as well for easy access to phone, chapstick, etc. without having to wear a Fanny pack or the need for a hip belt. It fits snuggly on my small frame while still being lightweight and roomy

Hiking

Atlas Packs Athlete

I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack.

CamelBak Daystar 16 Hydration Pack - Women's

(1/3)

I am a small adult female (5’ with narrow shoulders and short torso) and always had a hard time finding a pack that was a comfortable size. I bought this to use primarily for day hiking (bonus- it can hold trekking poles!) and skiing so I can keep some water on me. I’ve come to love the vest style as I feel it distributes the weight better and is more comfortable. I love the front pockets as well for easy access to phone, chapstick, etc

CamelBak Daystar 16 Hydration Pack - Women's

(1/1)

Don't waste your time or money. The pack has irregular/misaligned chest buckles and the design is not functional. It's nearly impossible to get into the vest; was made for a bony kid instead of a slim woman, front pockets cannot be reached and are too small even for a small hand plus it's extremely hot with thin back pockets.

CamelBak Daystar 16 Hydration Pack - Women's

(1/2)

The pockets that they have in the middle section were are nice, it's hard to find a hydration backpack with sorted storage and that was a huge draw for this. The bladder and hose seemed just fine to me. In the end the reason that I didn't keep this one was the fit. I am 5'5" 140lbs and felt that this sat higher than other brands and that the loop at the top dug into my neck
