I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 You have another little stretchy area. Here goes all the way to the bottom: a couple zipper pockets here you could put SD cards or batteries or remote shutters or whatever you like there and that's the the camera compartment.   These are great for a cellphone but probably not big enough for a tablet or a kindle.   Since the edges of these pockets meet in the middle, it seems like the design could have been adjusted to accommodate a tablet.  Also, since most people jam their phones into pockets or purses where there is no fleece or padding I’m not sure this is a valuable pocket to have.  Still, it’s nice to have the option

A big waterproof bag!

This commuter style waterproof backpack can hold your laptop and other items and absolutely keep everything dry. I like the quick access pockets on the side and back and that they're separate from the inside compartment. The roll top and side zipper allow for easy access of my stuff without having to dump the bag. The slim black design doesn't look bulky on either

The Dry Commuter

 This is definitely a concern, as dampness reached the laptop compartment. Items stored within the tote bag stayed dry, so if you expect to be out in heavy rain, be sure to store anything you don't want wet there!

 You know the drill so oriented in this position. In this side access position, you can kind of seen here with this velcro flag, that this is a laptop sleeve, so you do have quick side access to a laptop which fits in there pretty well, there's not a whole bunch of padding, there's no false bottom. So you know, we'd probably put a case on laptop as well, but it is nicer. There'S a dedicated, laptop spot and there's also some more organization which will open up the bank I'll show you more

 So because of that, you know you could fill up with packing cubes and then, like you, just saw there's a dedicated spot in there for your laptop. So then that leaves you know all of this main bucket open for packing cubes. If you want to take this on some trips, so that's pretty great and then, while we have this open this way, another really interesting feature of this bag is the removable liner. So you may have gotten a glimpse of it when we were just in the side

 Instead, you have to like open up the roll. Take everything out. You know the drill so oriented in this position.  In my case, i just placed a lightning cable to charge my phone, and i also tossed in my wallet as it as i mentioned. It just might be a place where pickpockets wouldn't be able to get to it too easily. So really nice simple layout here and i just really love the amount of space that it offers and then the other area we're going to be taking a look at is the main compartment, and so this is a top loading bag. And i like how wide this area opens, so you can still see what's on the inside

 Here you have a sleeve for a water bottle pocket. This is kind of an elastic slip pocket here and currently. What i have here is the same 20 ounce water bottle that you've seen in a lot of my other daily bag videos. It fits in there pretty comfortably it's nice that this is elastic

 So really nice simple layout here and i just really love the amount of space that it offers and then the other area we're going to be taking a look at is the main compartment, and so this is a top loading bag. And i like how wide this area opens, so you can still see what's on the inside. You also have a brighter lining on the inside to give you a little bit more visibility, i'm glad that it's not an all black liner, so you can see down into the bottom of the bag, and i really love bags that have this very simple layout. Even at 22 liters of capacity, because there's not a lot of stuff and organization and straps and zippers, you can really place a lot of larger items into here, pretty comfortably

 There'S a good amount of padding here and the way that's been designed. It feels nice. So you can see, there's that entirely pass-through and there's some dense foam here as well decently thin but yeah really comfortable to carry on the back. How this felt on my back

 So if you want to attach like a carabiner with something on it, you can otherwise there are little grips to hold on to when you're, zipping and unzipping the sling as well. There'S a pass through back here for a u-lock, so i've got my kryptonite uh kryptolok series 2 on the back, and this is actually surprisingly comfortable as it feels on your back. There'S a good amount of padding here and the way that's been designed. It feels nice

 So that's all in the main compartment here - sunglasses all in the main compartment here. So overall, pretty big area i mean, if you have a big water bottle, you can throw that in. I was even able to fit like a jacket on the inside here as well. It puffed out decently, but like a rain, shell will fit in there just fine and now here's the thing that i kind of get into so this is the chrome cadet mini it's at five liters, there's a bunch of space this

 This almost feels like more of like a medium or a small to me compared to other slings that we've reviewed and it's a little bit thin on the interior organization. I just wish it had a little bit more interior organization, so we have this slot back here. Got a kindle and a notebook again, it's going to work for bigger items, but once you start getting them these small things like a pen, notebook and then i've got a zippo in here which is kind of at the bottom, hard to grab anyways. But you're kind of like just restricted to either this one big pocket or this small one on the side, and i think there are companies out there that are doing a lot better job with giving you at least the option for more internal organization
