Comfort

Atlas Packs Athlete

(1/2)

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack.

Chrome Urban Ex 2.0 Rolltop 20L Pack

(1/1)

This particular chap lived in a remote village in Kashmir on the edge of the Himalayas, which meant the walk was a terrifying journey of 100km, tip-toeing across ice floes in the Zanskar river valley, clinging to snowy cliff edges and braving sub-zero temperatures.

Compartment

Chrome Urban Ex 2.0 Rolltop 20L Pack

(1/1)

+ The inner compartment design is much better than the old, non-existent one. The addition of inner handles and a magnet at the top are really welcome too. The reflective bits added to the bag are a nice touch for those occasional night strolls.

Carry-on

Chrome Urban Ex 2.0 Rolltop 20L Pack

(1/1)

I am able to fit my 15” laptop in the sleeve and my iPad in the pocket right next to it, along with my change of clothes once I get to work. I love the rolltop and the magnetic closure and additional carry/opening handles in the top. The material feels very sturdy and the strap system is very comfortable. You can tell that the makers were really attentive to detail, and it appears that every aspect of the bag was well thought out

Size

Chrome Urban Ex 2.0 Rolltop 20L Pack

(1/1)

In terms of size, the Urban Ex 28L should be more than enough for anyone’s commuting needs. For one journey I packed it with jeans, shirt, hoodie, underwear, socks, shoes, lunchbox, water bottle, laptop, charger, magazine, waterproof jacket, spare inner tube, pump and D-lock. It swallowed the lot with room to spare.
