Comfort
Atlas Packs Athlete
Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Was very comfortable, had good padding on the straps and back of the backpack. The sternum and hip straps really help with keeping the weight well distributed so it's not feeling so heavy on me. I initially thought that the bag was small but the multiple pockets actually have a lot of space to hold your belongings.
Hiking
Atlas Packs Athlete
I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack.

Great pack, did a lot of research on backpacks for a European backpacking trip. This was the best deal I could find, with the built in compartment organizers versus buying a regular pack with packing organizers. Love how sturdy, aesthetic and supportive this pack is! Highly recommended!
Compartment

I really like the compartments. You might still use packing cubes, but if you're not going nuts the zippered mesh actually does a nice job all on its own.
Carry-on
Cotopaxi Allpa 28L Travel Pack
I bought it to be my one allowed carry-on for a JetBlue flight but it's too long to fit under the seat in front of me. Luckily no one made me move it to the overhead bin (which costs extra). So it's size makes it not great for that purpose. Then I tried using it for a weekend car trip

Strap
Cotopaxi Allpa 28L Travel Pack
It has very comfortable straps with (HUGE) sturdy ykk #10 zippers. It is a very good price for the materials it brings.
