The size is perfect - stuffed full it was not too heavy. The chest strap was a must to keep the shoulder straps from sliding off and was the reason we chose this pack! All of the clips were very easy for her to open and close on her own. We loved the bright colors - she was easy to pick out of a crowd! Perfect day pack for her trips to Nana's, to the park , and to the beach. Perfect first pack!
