I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

Best Mirrorless Camera Bag? Atlas Packs Athlete Backpack

 This bag is perfect for the weekend trip or if you're traveling to another continent.  Size: This bag is perfect for people that don't want to check a bag at the airport. It does have the ability to fit in the overhead compartment for both domestic and international flights. This is great for people that are looking to save money on baggage fees(I am one of them)

The only Travel Bag you're going To Need.

 Comfort-wise, this bag is not as comfortable as a true backpacking backpack, but I don't think its reasonable to expect that and to have the flexibility this bag provides as a piece of true luggage. It's a trade off, and well worth it. Having hands free on a long trip was a godsend, and the lack of retractable handle-associated hardware really frees up a lot of space inside the bag, in comparison to a roll-aboard style carry-on. Imagine navigating international airports with two little ones and the associated toileting/diapering/eating

 I love efficiency packing, and the challenge of packing for a 2 week trip in only carry on bags is actually my idea of a good time. Using packing cubes, I was able to do that without an issue. Had the weather been remotely normal for August in France, I would have been golden.

How I packed for 2 weeks for myself and 2 small children in a carry-on bag.

At the current price, its a fine small duffel bag at about an effective 20 liters; its capacity is smaller than the specs would lead one to believe.   It might be a fine overnight bag for a small child or a petite person but I would not recommend that use for a large adult unless its for very light weight summer clothes — shorts, T-shirts, a pair of sandals & very small toiletry kit.

A Nice Small, "Under Seat” Duffel Bag

 The design flaw is that the chest strap is removable and slides off WAY too easily. I ordered a bag and it came out of the box missing one side of the strap. I contacted eBags and they said "too bad, contact Amazon since you didn't buy it from us". Of course, Amazon cannot send me a missing part so I returned the bag and replaced it with another

 It literally looks brand new still. There are no scuffs no tears, every zipper works, every pocket is perfect. I can't recommend it enough. It's unbelievable

This bag is pure awesome in nearly every respect

 I did have to carry my laptop in a separate small messenger bag because I had so many clothes in this one, but if you only packed for 2 days you could easily fit a laptop or tablet on top of your clothes and zip it up. This bag will make a great companion bag for when I travel abroad or for longer periods with a larger wheeled suitcase, and I love that it has the pass-through sleeve for attaching to the handle of my luggage. Overall I was very satisfied with the product AND the service from eBags. The first bag I received had a blemish and a replacement was quickly sent out, the customer service rep being very friendly and pleasant to talk to

Wirecutter's budget pick is the eBags Mother Lode. Described as smilar to the Amazon Basics but better build quality and still around $100.  

I bought the [Amazon Weekender backpack](https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B079LMFJSY/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_G2AANFWD31BZ3Q7NVWJ0?psc=1) a couple years ago thanks to a recommendation here and I absolutely love it. It has the perfect amount of specialty pockets for pens, chargers, cords, toiletries, etc, and I love the clamshell design, the laptop slot and everything else about it. Unfortunately, mine is starting to have some issues with the stitching coming apart so I think it's time to upgrade.

Is there a similar bag you guys might be able to recommend? Ideally it would be pretty similar but with better build quality. I think it's about 36L and when not packed to the max can fit under an airplane seat (which is the main requirement for me). If I needed to, I could probably sacrifice a couple liters of space.
