I bought this to be my airplane carry on bag for everything I need during a flight, and it's perfect for that. Looks great also. I took this on a hike in the red sand, came home washed it off and there are still some spots of red sand but it's not as bad as was when I came home. I figured I'm going to use this bag a lot as it fits 2 hydro flax bottles, a can of Sardines and some other helpful snacks. My phone battery, keys, compass, whistle, map, a rag, and a packable down jacket. I even had room more things but this is the type of bag where you can have little amount and the fabric holds true to form so it doesn't look smooshed
