I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

  Amplify that by about 30 portages and you have a real problem.  I am so disappointed by this pack, and thankful for REI's return policy because this one is going back.

  The other issue I have is that normally I am comfortable carrying heavy packs on portages and can swing fully loaded backpacks onto my back no problem.  The handle on the side of the pack with the shoulder straps is so close to the middle of the pack that the pack swings level when you lift it by that strap to get it on, and it is difficult to get it on without wrenching your shoulders/neck/back.  Amplify that by about 30 portages and you have a real problem.  I am so disappointed by this pack, and thankful for REI's return policy because this one is going back

  The black side compression straps are not particularly good for anything.  There are pockets on the sides at the bottom which you cannot fit anything in unless the pack is empty - not sure the point of those.  My biggest concerns with this pack are twofold:  poor materials, and poor ergonomics.  I took this on one 3 night trip to the boundary waters and the pack has rips in two locations

 It'S really easy to put this on. I don't have a ton of weight in here now, but I wanted to show you just put it on like a backpack. You'Ve got this little strap up here that you're able to connect and tighten, and then you have your waistband back here, and you just shut this here and you're able to tighten this for more adjustment, so you feel puts helps, keep some of the weight more on The bottom of your back, but when you're walking you're able to carry your paddles or fishing poles or whatever real easy through the market for a port in Japan, I highly suggest checking out the grandeur. Traditional number four holds 98 liters put a plastic bag in to make it waterproof

You pull this over and there's three adjustable buckles that you connect like so and then you can adjust to make it fit how works best for you. Each side has another strap to pick it up by and two adjustable straps, which they'll help you allow the bag to expand and contract the size you want, and then what I like to do is grab a Nalgene or anything else that I want easy access to

 The slog comes in three sizes, 30, 70 and 115 litres. The single compartment, bare-bones setup gets the job done and at a very reasonable price. All three sizes have rudimentary quick drying breathable shoulder straps, while the two larger sizes feature removable, hip belts. The side handles are a welcome addition, making the otherwise cumbersome process of loading and unloading

 That'S sized for a canoe, a rare blend in Fort Dodge packs, its padded back panel forms for comfort and distributes weight evenly with help from wide contoured shoulder straps and a cushy interchangeable waist belt. The backside, pockets and lash points features that are absent on lower end models, make carrying loose items, easy top-load, the colossal 121 litre capacity using dry bags for optimal protection.  So it's pretty important that everything fits together and works comfortably and that's a great thing about this pack. It'S also got a padded hip belt, so you can put some of the weight. Take the weight off your shoulders, throw on your hips. Everything is adjustable quickly and easily, so you tighten yourself in you've, got everything adjusted and then you can pick up the canoe and carry that too, or you can have your wife carry that that's up to you

 Let me unstrap the top portion here when you unstrap the top portion. You have this front compartment here, which again adds to your capacity. It does have some compression here, so you can stretch this out quite a bit. You could shove a raincoat or something that you wanted quick grab in here, maybe a first-aid kit

 It has the pull from back its tightener, which is nice, that's how they do it on backpacking pack. So you want to Center it on your hips here and I can tighten that right down. You want your hips to carry most of the load there. I know fat jokes incoming, so then you've got the adjustable shoulder straps here as well

 Then you've got this drawstring here. That opens your main compartment. Now this isn't a waterproof pack, so you do want to keep that in mind. If you're taking this, you know on a river trip or something like that, you either want to put a liner in here a trash bag liner would work, or in my case I have everything in dry bags

 You want your hips to carry most of the load there. I know fat jokes incoming, so then you've got the adjustable shoulder straps here as well. You can loosen those up and we've got the the pulls on them to tighten those down. You want to get them snug, but you don't want to be carrying that all that weight on your shoulders, especially with this pack
