I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

Best Mirrorless Camera Bag? Atlas Packs Athlete Backpack

 It has fit under the seat on all the flights I have taken so far with no problem. It is very easy to get laptop in and out for TSA security check but no way for the laptop to come out while carrying it because the strap covers the zipper.  Update: 5 years later .

  Update: 5 years later ... backpack is still going strong - All Zippers still working, none have jumped the tracks - Protective pouch has protected multiple laptops - Zipper mesh in main compartment is fuzzing a little bit but still functional - Has fit under the seat in front of me on all planes I have taken (fully packed) - While I haven't dropped it in any puddles, it has kept my belongings dry in downpours that have soaked me to the bone  This is by Far the BEST laptop bag I have ever owned

. just got back from a trip 5 week trip to Israel where it protected my new 2k$ laptop and carried all the cables & supplies. It has fit under the seat on all the flights I have taken so far with no problem.  If you're going to use the compartment to load up gear, be prepared to spend an extra 30 percent of the cost of the bag to reinforce it.

 I feel like it should have one with at least two dividers. I had to buy four to get it to work right.  I like the rugged design and the sling-pack style is ideal for crowded situations where I would otherwise have to take a normal bag off to keep an eye on it. But the gear compartment is a major flaw

Good bag but flimsy build

 I am in love with the ability to sling it over my shoulder and onto my front to access gear and get out of the way when on public transit or sitting down. I refuse to wear a normal backpack again. On top of all this, the buckle on the strap makes on/off incredibly efficient. Buy this bag and love it

  A few warnings:  - Carrying even a little weight in this will hurt. That's simply the cost of one-loop packs. You'll have to travel light. - Always Always Always check the lock on the strap buckle

This instantly became my favorite every-day carry bag

 That is the only issue that I have had with it so far, and would want Hazard 4 to look to change their design for this attachment and those buckles to make them a bit wider and more substantial like the one on the main pack strap, which is AWSOME!  All was going great when the clip for the stabilizing strap broke. Not real happy about that, especially for how much this thing cost!, but it was replaced pronto with no questions asked by Amazon. I gave it 4 stars for this reason. If it breaks again, then I'm going to get my money back and research back to a double strapped pack

Great pack, except for......

Says it will fit up to a 17in laptop, not even close my Inspiron 15 won't fit even if I try to force it in. Construction is so so defiantly not double stitched every where. Dissapointed!

But that's just what you got to deal with on the other side: you'll notice, this pocket here does not have the zipper, though it's just a plain, boring pocket for a water bottle, maybe in Yeti 18 ounce, but this one here just doesn't fit in there. Okay, I'm looking over here. Of course you got the gun, compression straps compression straps

 It gives you this wider pocket here. As you can see, I have put a pair of ton of these scissors in there, and kids have to open up any blister packs or stuff. It also has two kind of elastic webs here on two here and two here behind. Here is one pocket behind the pens and pencils there's another pocket right here, which is even again goes to the very bottom two here, they're pretty tall pockets

 So, let's dive into the pack a little bit, so we got this pocket here. Of course, all the water bottle pocket on the side.  It just so happens that it happens to actually work like that, and you can see it right there, alright shove, that back in the back area back in there, I say: alright, zip it back up. You can kind of see the attention thing here for the strap, which is a sling pack. So moving around our back you'll see the sling pack again has webbing along the whole thing. You have the crossbody, strap hook up right here, which actually is somewhere on the back
