 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 You have another little stretchy area. Here goes all the way to the bottom: a couple zipper pockets here you could put SD cards or batteries or remote shutters or whatever you like there and that's the the camera compartment. I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel.  It'S not like the foam that you would use for your backpack uh straps, it's like a very thick foam, and so they they sent me these, and i actually was able to do the install myself to upgrade this original backpack to be capable of handling a lot More weight and to just improve the frame and that's cool, i think it's important to reuse. You know products like this and to turn them into more functional, updated products when we can so we don't just throw out perfectly viable and useful backpacks and other type of hiking this one. So that's it! That'S my review of the bag. I think it's a great backpack, i i think it's um worth checking these out

 And then here i've got a long, a large version of a telephoto a little bit longer than your traditional 70 to 200, but essentially the the same grouping of lenses all right. You throw this thing on and you can walk for miles and you don't even feel the weight and why is it so comfortable? That'S the real question that we want to answer and we want to see these attributes in the bags that we choose for camera gear, so first thing comfortable, straps, obviously right, but the nice padding and the good form and the heavy duty foam.  If you want stuff that needs to stay absolutely dry, this is a well protected area for your important documents and things like that. This bag has been incredibly comfortable. The most comfortable backpack I've ever had that's also a camera bag and, as you can see, this bag expands to infinity. I haven't actually reached a point where this bag is full, where it's overfilled and where it's been too heavy to carry or anything like that

 It opens on the back and you get full access to the whole bag here in the back, and it has a little special feature called the origami compartment here, which basically allows you to turn some storage space into camera space or, like I said, storage space, and You have more volume for other stuff in the back. It'S it's very shallow, I'm an Olympus ambassador and I shoot with Olympus glass, of course, which is small lenses and they fit in perfectly. But if you have slightly bigger lenses, you'll end up putting them in sideways. Like this, I know that for future versions of this backpack there will be it'll, be slightly deeper and then normal full-frame lenses will also fit in upright or the general full frame lens will fit in upright

 They're not just smaller and larger versions of the exact same pack. There are some differences. this one has a laptop compartment on the front. This one has it inside

 They both feature this top flap drawstring top system and then they both have space down in front of the box that actually holds the camera gear and so with compression straps on the sides. Again, this is true for both models. You can stuff the pack as full as you need to and then cinch them down, throw a tripod on the side, and and make it work. Of course, made out of, you know, ripstop nylon

 Back panels are very similar with this sort of ribbed material. It's very comfortable. The biggest thing that I like about the the suspension system here is the waist belt. Now a lot of packs have waist belts

 just like any other outdoor pack you'd expect. They have the same suspension system for the shoulder harnesses here which is great. They both feature internal metal frames which again standard for hiking packs to help distribute the load of the pack down onto your hips rather than on your shoulders. They have or this one has an adjustable velcro thing for adjusting depending on your your torso height which is great can you get a good fit

 But you can see what I'm talking about. All the pockets are configured so that you can store things vertically. When this is attached to your front, this is swung around to your front side. so all these pockets and all of these little pouches and whatnot are accessible to when this pack is slung around to the front side of your body

 make sure nobody tampers with your things. But one of the main purposes of this particular pack is that it's designed and marketed as a kind of a tactical laptop case. and this is really a great pack for college students because it has a lot of really nice organizational pockets for your pens and whatnot. and it has a couple of the different features for those of you who have large laptops and tablets

 I wish that the zippers were sectioned off, but what I ended up doing was just putting both of the zippers right there where the seam meets. So if I need something in this pocket, I just unzip that one, get my stuff, or if I need something out of the bigger one, I would just unzip this one. So kind of funny how that is designed but uh, but it is what it is. but it's very nice

 but the zipper track is all one track so one zipper can go and cover both of them. Kind of annoying. I wish that the zippers were sectioned off, but what I ended up doing was just putting both of the zippers right there where the seam meets. So if I need something in this pocket, I just unzip that one, get my stuff, or if I need something out of the bigger one, I would just unzip this one

 to do so, you do have to unbuckle the two retention straps. and uh, for some reason though, these zippers. The zipper pulls on the main compartment have this, uh, it's like heat shrink tubing on them and I'm honestly not sure why just those poles have it. Um, it is not explained

Hazard 4 Switchback Review

 If you're going to use the compartment to load up gear, be prepared to spend an extra 30 percent of the cost of the bag to reinforce it.

 I feel like it should have one with at least two dividers. I had to buy four to get it to work right.  I like the rugged design and the sling-pack style is ideal for crowded situations where I would otherwise have to take a normal bag off to keep an eye on it. But the gear compartment is a major flaw

Good bag but flimsy build

 I am in love with the ability to sling it over my shoulder and onto my front to access gear and get out of the way when on public transit or sitting down. I refuse to wear a normal backpack again. On top of all this, the buckle on the strap makes on/off incredibly efficient. Buy this bag and love it

  A few warnings:  - Carrying even a little weight in this will hurt. That's simply the cost of one-loop packs. You'll have to travel light. - Always Always Always check the lock on the strap buckle

This instantly became my favorite every-day carry bag

 Its difficult to get open sometimes because the zippers get lost and the bag collapsing on itself doesn't help this at all. Not worth the asking price.

I like the layout of the bag but hate how flimsy ...

 Yet, even with the macbook in the main compartment, I feel it give as I walk to work everyday, buckling a couple millimeters at a time, from ridge to ridge in the woven pattern on the strap. Break into a trot and it just gives out. .

 Like other bags, it puts stress on my macbook if I pull it tight, and it's incredibly uncomfortable to do so. As such, I got a sleeve for my laptop and I carry it in the main compartment so that the top portion of the bag can conform to the curvature of my spine (I'm able to sacrifice the space for that).  Moreover, being that the top strap is attached to the bag at the top instead of somewhere down in the middle where it would be more ergonomic, the bag sits low on my back, resting into the small of my back (like any other backpack) and squeezing my clothing between itself and my belt as I walk. I'm on the short side, though, (5'7") so your mileage may vary

.. it's annoying yet slightly better than anything else I've tried. It's the only sling I could find that accommodated a 15in macbook pro

  Also, the strap on the bottom half of the main buckle tends to come loose. It's worst with my macbook in the laptop pouch and the bag is unforgivably rigid behind me. I was looking for a mid-size back pack to replace my aging swiss gear synergy laptop bag. It was solid but I grew tired of overpacking since it was a large bag and I began to suffer from turtle back syndrome. Tactical packs are by nature very efficient and customizable and the switchback is a perfect combination of size as well. I love the organizational options in the admin pocket and the main compartment can be stuffed just as much as my older pack but the ability to cinch it down with the cinch straps keeps your contents close to your back and a lower profile which was one of the main draws for me

. The hydration /Laptop pocket fits my 13 in Mac book pro easily and I'm sure it would fit a 15. And with the ability to add MOLLE pouches I can increase or decrease my carrying capacity. I can add exterior molle pouches when I'm traveling, remove them when I arrive at my destination and covert to an urban day pack

Solid functionality but slingpacks are a tough carry

 Motorcycle riding with this pack is very comfortable. Have actually used this to go on two day camping trips with no real problems.
