Comfort

Atlas Packs Athlete

(1/2)

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

I wanted something simple and of good quality. What I got was as advertised and what I wanted.

Hiking

Atlas Packs Athlete

I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack.

Sturdy padded straps, Fully lined. Extra pocket on front. Flat bottom so it sits up when you put it down. Extra interior pocket just right for my 12" Macbook

Carry-on

Herschel settlement

(1/1)

I just bought my boyfriend the Herschel Chapter Travel Kit Carry-On 3L size. He absolutely loves it and it's surprisingly spacious for how compact it is. It has a few inside pockets and one outer zip pocket. I also think it's more aesthetically appealing than some of the other more utilitarian options posted here

Size

Herschel settlement

(1/1)

The laptop in the last photo is a 13" macbook pro for size reference. The midvolume may not look like it's much smaller in the photos, however, it definitely is since the depth is smaller than the 23L one. It's a good size for going to school/work when you just need a couple things in there. However, I have several pouches I need for work - money pouch, adapters, hard drives, water bottle, snacks, etc - so the 23L is a better size

Strap

I love this backpack so much! Super durable material and spacious enough to fit my essentials. The only critique I have is that the straps rub a bit on my arms by my armpits. Overall, still a great backpack
