I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 You have another little stretchy area. Here goes all the way to the bottom: a couple zipper pockets here you could put SD cards or batteries or remote shutters or whatever you like there and that's the the camera compartment.   Update: We bought the bags, traveled, and all seemed well. We came home from our trip and stored them flat in our attic closet with the rest of our luggage. We went to pull them out a few weeks later, and they had shriveled up and become very distorted. They are practically unusable now, as the padding is distorted, they don't hold their shape, and the zippers are wavy and hard to zip (see photos)

 We initially had trouble getting the company to respond, sending an email to the address on the tag on the bag. However, we got a very prompt reply from customer service using the Contact Us form on their website. They say that they have not seen this happen before, and are sending us replacement bags at no cost. Not sure what happened to the bags or how the new ones will hold up in the long run, but they are honoring their warranty

Decent bag for travel, but had some issues

 And the fact that they’re these plastic... well, what I call “frog-leg” clasps (see pictures)

and it’s a big “but.” A “knock off one-and-a-half stars ‘but.’”  I’m not a fan of any kind of snap buckle holding shoulder straps of a backpack together. I’m REALLY not a fan of snap buckles holding shoulder straps together on a travel backpack that’s this big

Almost perfect, except for one BIG flaw

Used it for a work trip. Worked fine. Seems to hold up and made it easy to travel with a carry-on.

Great carry-on

 The good thing about that is that you do have the ability to tuck the straps away, which we'll walk through in a little bit, which is always a nice feature to have, because if you can tuck those straps away and you have to check the bag. At least you have a peace of mind that they're not going to get caught on anything and ripped as you do want your backpack straps to survive any sort of travel so a little bit bigger than what I would typically want to travel with. But as I mentioned, the use of the nylon here and the ability to tuck the straps away really helped make that manageable and the ability to compress the bag down is also going to be really helpful. So if you have a bag like this, it's nice that you can pack a lot of stuff into it, but you don't have to pack it out completely, and in that case, as I mentioned, you can compress it down to around 38 liters, which is a much More manageable size, in my opinion, so as I was wearing the bag when it was fully filled out, it did stick out just a little bit, but not as much as I would have expected for the size that it was, and especially with the compression straps

 As you can see, I just haven't used them at all, as most of my stuff is contained in the packing cubes, and so just opening. This compartment up also very smooth zipper lots of space, and the best thing is that it doesn't feel like the compartment is exploding. So, even though I filled this out pretty good, I still feel like there's enough wiggle room that I'm not gon na be worried about my bag, tearing as I'm walking around, and so, as I was saying before, because of the larger space that this bag offers. I was interested to play with some of the larger items that I typically will try to not take with me as much if I'm using a smaller bag

 They have the same mesh material that the back penalty had providing some nice airflow here and they have a good width which is great to see, especially with the bag of this size. When you're carrying this much weight, you really want the straps to be wide enough. So that the bag doesn't start to dig into your shoulders as you're wearing this for a longer period of time, so nice width here the padding on the straps is comfortable, but it's a little bit thinner than I would like to see for this size of bag. Considering how much you'll likely be carrying with you, but then I always have to remind myself that at the price point this is offered at these are actually pretty solid straps at the top here

 If you don't have anything in there, so that it's not judging out awkwardly, as I mentioned earlier, the bag has the ability to tuck the backpack straps away. So if you do have to check this, this will keep them protected against getting snagged on anything and then, when the straps are tucked away, it's nice that the bag has a suitcase pass through. So here it has a very large sleeve that would allow you to put this through your suitcase handle, so that, if you didn't want to carry this and you wanted to rest it on an additional bag that you were taking with, you you'd be able to rest That comfortably this is very secure. It doesn't feel like it's gon na fall off your suitcase
