Comfort
Atlas Packs Athlete
Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

The back piece is slightly curved so that it hugs the top of your bottom, rather than just sitting on the small of your back. I find this very comfortable.
Hiking
Atlas Packs Athlete
I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack.
Kathmandu 38L Litehaul
I had used this bag on the outback camping, hiking and could also blend in urban commute. There’s a lot of things I love about this bag and it’s perfect and if there’s one thing that I could wish to improve is that the black variant is very prone to scratches and dirt.
Compartment
Kathmandu 38L Litehaul
Bought this a month ago for my carry on bag travelling to USA. No issues on size taking it. Lots of compartments for easy access to everything. Awesome feature for main pocket to open right up like a suit case
Carry-on
Kathmandu 38L Litehaul
I recently bought this bag for my first carry-on experience. While I was apprehensive at its size initially, I had no reason to worry. It held the following : 1 x sneakers, 1 x thongs, 2 x jumpsuits, 4 x shorts, 4 singlets, 1 x swimmers, 1 x sarong, 1 x kimono, 1 x long sleeve, 2 x tees, 1 x long cargo pants. It also held various items such as adapters, medical needs, basic toiletries and such
Size
Kathmandu 38L Litehaul
The bag has 38 litres of space. Unlike it’s predecessor, this can’t be stretched to more. You get 38 litres and no more. This keeps it within the airline restrictions though
Strap
Kathmandu 38L Litehaul
I have always adored the fact there is a hip strap on these bags. Fair enough, if you are getting a taxi at both ends of your journey then you might only want main straps. However, we walk, and get the bus, so the extra comfort makes a BIG difference. The plastic fastener is sturdy and I have never had one of these break on me
