I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 You have another little stretchy area. Here goes all the way to the bottom: a couple zipper pockets here you could put SD cards or batteries or remote shutters or whatever you like there and that's the the camera compartment.  Hiked 8.5 miles the first time with the pack on.  I didn't camp overnight and haven't done a multi day trek yet but this pack carries its weight so well with the perfect fit system (which works flawlessly) that I have no doubt this will be beyond comfortable on multi day trips.

First test done

 In that, I succeeded completely. This is a budget-minded backpack that has plenty of volume. The adjustable harness is very nice, fitting my (ahem) "ample" 6'2" 240# frame. Once adjusted, it sits very comfortably: virtually all the weight rides on my hips, the shoulder straps are comfortable and my shoulders do not get tired at all

Compared against the fit and finish of my wife's bag from another manufacturer, I would only give the Redstone 70 3/5 stars. BUT, for the price point at which it stands, I'll bump it up to 4/5 stars. It's a decent starter backpack that will get you and your gear where you want to be, just be ready to accept fewer bells and whistles.

SO, this is my first backpacking pack. I was interested in something that would get me started, but also not break the bank. In that, I succeeded completely. This is a budget-minded backpack that has plenty of volume

 Access on the front we do have a small pocket here opens up to have a lot of organization for smaller items, journals, notebooks, pencils, binoculars. If you choose to bring those along, but nice organizer pocket there on either side, we have a couple extra pockets here: we've got kind of the standard water bottle, pockets, just stretchy mesh pocket for water bottles or other gear. If you choose to put it there, we have a side pocket here, kind of a bigger side pocket. You can definitely store some some items and water filters, maybe a stove or something

 Moving back up to the hood. We do have a couple pockets, so we've got one large main access pocket on the hood of the pack and we do have a small top pocket as well. That top pocket could be used for maps or anything. You want to get to really fast, really thin low profile items

 In order to do so, they also double up as compression straps, which we've got kind of throughout the pack. So you've got those straps. There. You'Ve got some side compression as well, so you can definitely cinch down the load

 It'S got really nice reinforced stitching, and you can also clip some gear to that. If you needed to, we've also got some sleeping pad straps at the bottom, so if you need to lash a pad down to the bottom of the pack, you've got sleeping pad straps. In order to do so, they also double up as compression straps, which we've got kind of throughout the pack. So you've got those straps
