I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

Of The Traveler

This is the most subjective category in the review, and no doubt opinions will differ. Max rates the appearance of the Knack Pack at a 9, while I give it a 5, so we’ll have to meet in the middle.

He saw lots of people struggling at airports, train stations and subway stops. Walking around the city, it seemed like everyone was juggling two bags.

It has been splashed with water, scraped along low rocky tunnels, and squeezed between red rock slot canyons while carrying Maia’s diapers and my hiking gear. Max has used his for clothing and camera gear on short and long overnight trips away from our trailer.

As a hiking bag, the Knack is missing a few key features. The medium size does not include a hip belt to help distribute weight. The shoulder straps start out comfortable, but after a few miles with the pack fully loaded, I begin wishing I could transfer a little bit of the weight to my hips. The sternum strap is adjustable and removable, but also a bit difficult to tighten

 Laptop Compartment is Slightly Smaller in Knack Pack Medium The laptop compartment is in the same place in the Medium version, but it’s smaller. They both hold a 15” laptop, but the Large version can hold up to a 17” laptop. My Dell 15” Inspiron (actually 15.6 inches) is a little snug going into the pocket, but it still fits in here just fine

 Except this is also the pocket on the Medium where you store the backpack straps. The loose shoulder strap adjustors can tend to fall out the bottom of the pass-through sleeve. But this isn’t really a big deal, because you can just tuck them back in.  Here we have an interesting pocket. It'S like a little compartment and yet again lined with the same microfiber that we found in the front compartment. This leads me to believe that knack would like to see you put like a tablet here or yet again, something that's a little bit more fragile, so phone tablet, uh, all of which will be very well protected by this microfiber fleece material and then moving north. We have another mesh compartment

 This is good for something that you need quicker access to, because in theory you can just unzip grab what you need good to go. On the other side, we have one two, three pockets, this one's a zip pocket runs the entire depth of the bag, so all the way down to the bottom, no other internal organization. Here we have an interesting pocket. It'S like a little compartment and yet again lined with the same microfiber that we found in the front compartment

 Thank you. This bag is also a hundred and ten percent for you, if you're looking for that one bag, lifestyle think about it. You'Re going to lima for the weekend, you're gon na try some of that world-class ceviche. You load this bad boy up with your clothes, get your airbnb dump your clothes out, you say, adios ropas! Is that closing spam compressed to 24 liters kaboom

 I, like zip access water bottle pockets and your water bottle is not flapping all over the place. Easy access. I'Ve got an 18 ounce, hydro flask. It can also fit up to a 24 ounce, hydro flask, and it should be noted that in case your bottle does leak
