 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 You have another little stretchy area. Here goes all the way to the bottom: a couple zipper pockets here you could put SD cards or batteries or remote shutters or whatever you like there and that's the the camera compartment.  If you want stuff that needs to stay absolutely dry, this is a well protected area for your important documents and things like that. This bag has been incredibly comfortable.  It opens on the back and you get full access to the whole bag here in the back, and it has a little special feature called the origami compartment here, which basically allows you to turn some storage space into camera space or, like I said, storage space, and You have more volume for other stuff in the back. It'S it's very shallow, I'm an Olympus ambassador and I shoot with Olympus glass, of course, which is small lenses and they fit in perfectly. But if you have slightly bigger lenses, you'll end up putting them in sideways. Like this, I know that for future versions of this backpack there will be it'll, be slightly deeper and then normal full-frame lenses will also fit in upright or the general full frame lens will fit in upright

 They're not just smaller and larger versions of the exact same pack. There are some differences. this one has a laptop compartment on the front. This one has it inside

 They both feature this top flap drawstring top system and then they both have space down in front of the box that actually holds the camera gear and so with compression straps on the sides. Again, this is true for both models. You can stuff the pack as full as you need to and then cinch them down, throw a tripod on the side, and and make it work. Of course, made out of, you know, ripstop nylon

 Back panels are very similar with this sort of ribbed material. It's very comfortable. The biggest thing that I like about the the suspension system here is the waist belt. Now a lot of packs have waist belts

 just like any other outdoor pack you'd expect. They have the same suspension system for the shoulder harnesses here which is great. They both feature internal metal frames which again standard for hiking packs to help distribute the load of the pack down onto your hips rather than on your shoulders. They have or this one has an adjustable velcro thing for adjusting depending on your your torso height which is great can you get a good fit

r/Ultralight - The Purchase Advice Thread - Week of November 15, 2021

 I've had no issues with that at all. As far as caring, it's really comfortable and it stays right in place. Put this thing on first backpack term strap and that's it. 15 pounds and less carry? That's this is what I'm gonna use

 So I've got a couple of items that I think everybody's pretty familiar with and we're going to throw them in here and see how they fit. So of course get some chicken ramen in tune or pasta sides right so here. nor pasta side gets right in there no problem and then also pack it ramen and there is still room in here for more that fits no problem. The pocket on the front see give you an idea

 So as far as the size, the size of this pack it is I believe one and three-quarter liters. But for me and knowing the size is one thing, but actually seeing what what will actually fit into the pack is is completely different. So I've got a couple of items that I think everybody's pretty familiar with and we're going to throw them in here and see how they fit. So of course get some chicken ramen in tune or pasta sides right so here

LiteAF Fanny Pack Gear Review

He said that he has not regretted the LiteAF bag he purchased which has the best shoulder straps of any pack he has tried. He said a lot of other packs the straps dig into his shoulders and the width and generous padding of LiteAF make them superior to all others. He replaced his HMG with it. I have not tried a LiteAF pack myself though so take all this with a grain of salt as it is a completely second-hand anecdotal experience

I’m planning to switch to a frameless pack this summer and wanted to ask the general consensus of which packs have the most robust shoulder straps that work for those of us with broad shoulders and a little meat on their bones. For reference, I’m 6’2” and 230. 

The Zerk keeps coming up in searches as having nice shoulder straps. Any others I should look at?
