 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 You have another little stretchy area. Here goes all the way to the bottom: a couple zipper pockets here you could put SD cards or batteries or remote shutters or whatever you like there and that's the the camera compartment.  It'S not like the foam that you would use for your backpack uh straps, it's like a very thick foam, and so they they sent me these, and i actually was able to do the install myself to upgrade this original backpack to be capable of handling a lot More weight and to just improve the frame and that's cool, i think it's important to reuse. You know products like this and to turn them into more functional, updated products when we can so we don't just throw out perfectly viable and useful backpacks and other type of hiking this one. So that's it! That'S my review of the bag. I think it's a great backpack, i i think it's um worth checking these out

 And then here i've got a long, a large version of a telephoto a little bit longer than your traditional 70 to 200, but essentially the the same grouping of lenses all right.  This bag is a 20 liter backpack. It is really a hiking backpack that has a camera core built in, and that is exactly what i was looking for and why was that? What i was looking for? I know that often we're driving to a location, we're taking pictures or we're taking

. So it's a pretty big backpack, but this is the backpack that i've used for like five or six years. It'S so comfortable! You throw this thing on and you can walk for miles and you don't even feel the weight and why is it so comfortable? That'S the real question that we want to answer and we want to see these attributes in the bags that we choose for camera gear, so first thing comfortable, straps, obviously right, but the nice padding and the good form and the heavy duty foam. These are important factors in creating a comfortable, strap

 If you want stuff that needs to stay absolutely dry, this is a well protected area for your important documents and things like that. This bag has been incredibly comfortable. The most comfortable backpack I've ever had that's also a camera bag and, as you can see, this bag expands to infinity. I haven't actually reached a point where this bag is full, where it's overfilled and where it's been too heavy to carry or anything like that

 It opens on the back and you get full access to the whole bag here in the back, and it has a little special feature called the origami compartment here, which basically allows you to turn some storage space into camera space or, like I said, storage space, and You have more volume for other stuff in the back. It'S it's very shallow, I'm an Olympus ambassador and I shoot with Olympus glass, of course, which is small lenses and they fit in perfectly. But if you have slightly bigger lenses, you'll end up putting them in sideways. Like this, I know that for future versions of this backpack there will be it'll, be slightly deeper and then normal full-frame lenses will also fit in upright or the general full frame lens will fit in upright

 They're not just smaller and larger versions of the exact same pack. There are some differences. this one has a laptop compartment on the front. This one has it inside

 They both feature this top flap drawstring top system and then they both have space down in front of the box that actually holds the camera gear and so with compression straps on the sides. Again, this is true for both models. You can stuff the pack as full as you need to and then cinch them down, throw a tripod on the side, and and make it work. Of course, made out of, you know, ripstop nylon

 Back panels are very similar with this sort of ribbed material. It's very comfortable. The biggest thing that I like about the the suspension system here is the waist belt. Now a lot of packs have waist belts

 just like any other outdoor pack you'd expect. They have the same suspension system for the shoulder harnesses here which is great. They both feature internal metal frames which again standard for hiking packs to help distribute the load of the pack down onto your hips rather than on your shoulders. They have or this one has an adjustable velcro thing for adjusting depending on your your torso height which is great can you get a good fit

 Zippers are easy to use and move with ease. They do not get caught up on the material or things in the pack. The pockets are well placed and gear inside each pocket is easily accessible. The suspension of this pack is comfortable and provides a bunch of freedom and movement

Fabric quality is excellent, the chest pocket fits my iPhone 11 in an otter box. Daisy loops on the rear and right side hip belt were great for snapping carabiners on, or even lashing a smaller day pack on.

 The miracle oh they're good, but if you want to take it off, I can show you very quickly how it works a little bit. So here you can see the shoulder straps move independently of the hip fins and then the clever thing is that they're actually connected. So that's the thing that acts as a dampener to make the load stable and not have a problem in terms of okay yeah. The other thing that's really smart about it is it's very easy to adjust the back length simply do that, pull that tab out, move it up and it's clipped in and away you go, so you can lend it to your friend yeah

So we're with Neil at the mammoth stand we're going to talk about the the new were spying range of packs, which seemed pretty high-end techy sort of bags here, sort of airplane, trekking mountaineering tactics, yeah exactly so. It'S a new series. We'Ve introduced, there's a 35 litre. A 50 liter and a seventy five liter, so it's very versatile range number of sizes, so you can use it from a day in the mountains to a multi-day, trekking trip yeah

 So you don't have the problem a bit like a caravan where things swish around and ultimately have a problem. So the nice thing about it is: we've tested it with an institute in Vienna and, if you imagine, you're not wearing a backpack, that would be a hundred percent freedom of movement right standard backpacks, which don't really move with your body, would reduce that to about sixty Three sixty five percent. This gets you back up to eighty five percent, so you've been wearing it for a little bit. You can tell me, I mean it's got about 20 or 25 kilos in here and it's feel the weight, but it's pretty damn comfy support, em and I think that's the feel

 A little bit more, I just loaded this up, just to kind of show you guys how it looks had she loaded. I find a lot of reviews. They kind of do some empty bags and make as much sense to me Walternate belay device. Then we can see the package helps no point in the site too much what I'm gon na do actually, for you guys, another really nice feature of this pack in particular, we do close at the top angle, actually got this clamshell design on the front, so that Will open up and give you access to your pack? She beautiful fulfillment as well, got nice large pocket over top a light mesh pocket good for phone, etc

 This pack is adjusting the height on it. So you can see at the top here. It'S got ta, be this extra large, large and medium tab. We do, is you just pull it up and you can see it's actually extending this length here and has given you more distance between your hips, then your shoulders

 It'S got these guys here, so these are kind of like I guess, compression straps, but also can be used so like hold down trekking gear or ice axes. Whatever you want so top lids just trying to mess around got like nice, big pocket in there she's great super useful of flying, especially jackets and stuffs what I would tend to use it for okay, UFC and I'll. Show you this. We flip this around

Sam Shaheen using the Mammut Trion Spine 50 Pack.After about 10 days using the pack, it looks essentially brand new on the outside, but the interior shows some wear on the lightweight lining fabric. None of the lightweight fabric plays a very important structural role in the pack, so even big rips / failures in this fabric wouldn’t render the pack unusable in the backcountry. But the contrast between the heavy outer fabric and the ultralight lining fabric strikes me as odd
