I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 You have another little stretchy area. Here goes all the way to the bottom: a couple zipper pockets here you could put SD cards or batteries or remote shutters or whatever you like there and that's the the camera compartment. Best Mirrorless Camera Bag? Atlas Packs Athlete Backpack

 I highly recommend this jacket for anyone who wants something they can comfortably wear traveling and around town.

This has become my everything jacket.

 Halfway into my morning commute I was peeling the jacket off it was so warm. I am still amazed at just how warm this jacket is. It's almost too warm, but I wouldn't trade it.

Cold-proof, wind-proof, weightless, but delicate

This is the first multi-day backpack I've owned. I used it on a week long AT hike and was satisfied. The three stacked compartments held everything I needed, and there were plenty of external points to attach what didn't fit in the bag. It did take a little time and multiple adjustments to get the weight of the full pack evenly distributed between the shoulder harness and the iliac crest belt, but that seems more like an individual issue

As advertised.

 I also had to return the large which is my usual size and get the medium to full fill my desire for it to be a mid layer.

First, let me tell you what I bought it for. I bought it to be an extremely lightweight, packable, mid to outer layer for hiking and camping. To this extent, its amazing! The warmth to weight ratio is truly insane. I am a thin blooded Floridian and this thing is all you need with whatever underneath easily into the upper 20's

Amazing and Functional

 I think this would be less likely if the zippers were more substantial and made of harder metal. I know this would add weight, but it would have been worth it.  I hope to get the zipper repaired, and still would like to use this pack for smaller backpacking trips. But it will not be my go-to for our second attempt in 2014

  The zippers were OK, but the zipper on the main pocket near the top liked to get caught on the side and not zip properly. The middle pocket was easily chewed by a shelter mouse (grrrrr) within the first week or so on the trail. I think this would be less likely if the zippers were more substantial and made of harder metal. I know this would add weight, but it would have been worth it

I bought this backpack for my first attempt at hiking the Appalachian Trail. I knew I would be packing considerably less than my husband, and wanted a pack that was fairly lightweight. I loved how comfortable it felt when I tried it on at the store (where it was overpriced).  My husband carried my sleeping bag b/c there simply wasn't room for it in the pack along with my other items

 Straps you've got these two columned pockets here on the front of the pack really sizeable, so you've got zippered access into each of those got all kinds of things packed away in there. On the other side, i've got even more layers, even more gear, stuffed inside that pocket. So nice storage capacity, there sizable stretch pockets on either side of the pack water bottle. There got my stove tucked away on the other side and you've got compression again
