I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

It arrived and I took it out the next day.  I travel around town and out of state often and finding a EDC that I can commute with and rely on is hard to find.  They are always either too small or just too big or the carry space is just not thought out right.  This bag changes things

 I gave these molle straps a good pull and there was zero tension ripping or tearing from the stitch.  Previous to this I had an old 2015 USGI XL assault bag 2 day that I was attached to the hip to. but GI standards changed so its a hard bag to find with the metal yoke system still in it. The Mystery Ranch bag was identical with improvements!  Buying some of the other models for my outdoor hiking camping adventures

Solid Pack for Back Country & Every Day Use

great bag! I use it as a commuter bag to work as a construction worker and so far so good. I keep med kit, coat, lunch and random other stuff. Very comfortable and durable thus far.

 I’m a 5’5 woman and after adjusting the straps I can carry it with ease.  The MOLLE straps will make it easy to attach things that need to be within easy reach/removable (I’ll probably swap my med kit into a pouch to attach versus keeping the items in the pack). And the inner pockets and pouches are all organized symmetrically in a way that makes sense, which makes it super easy to find items in a full pack.

Fantastic quality, great design, and amazing weight distribution for easy carry

 I rethreaded them a different way than they came from the factory, and they held better.  But the weirdest thing is the Y shaped zipper. It seems to work, it's just so different from what I expect out of a zipper.

I took this out on a ten mile hike over a somewhat short mountain. It performed adequately. Overall, I feel like I'm a bit large to use this pack. The straps of the waist belt aren't sewn in, just threaded through buckles, and both ends pulled free while I hiked

The Y zipper is just weird

 Sometimes I forgot that I had it. This pack is very comfortable and lightweight. I had a camel, 4 pouches of kool-aid, 550 chord, personal effects, and a tackle box and I never felt like I had to shift the bag around to give my shoulders a break. I carried this pack for close to 6 hours that day and it performed greatly

 It really feels like whatever you have in here is gon na, be very well protected, so a nice amount of space, no sort of internal organization or fleece lining in this compartment. So what I currently have in here is my Ray Ban sunglasses with their case and even let those in there there was still some leftover space. If I wanted to toss in something with my wallet or my phone, while going through TSA and then behind that there's another larger compartment, I really was impressed that I was able to effectively use both of these pockets, even though they kind of sit on top of Each other, so they have kind of independent volume, which I really like to see here, and so a lot of capacity in this can park this one's a little bit different at the bottom of the compartment is actually this measurement tool allows you to see into the Main area of the bag can't actually open it, but it's still nice to just have that additional ventilation and so jumping in plenty of space here great for bulkier accessories. First thing that I have here is my Kindle e-reader and then I also have my field notes

 This has a side axe, it's zippered, to make it very easy to get your laptop in and out at the top there's a zipper garage to help add under some additional protection from the elements until opening this up very easy to get your laptop out plenty of Space in this compartment - currently, what I have in here is my 13 inch macbook pro, but this can definitely hold up to a 15 inch laptop, as you can see, there's some leftover space at the top, and so the compartment does offer a nice amount of padding, Especially on the back, because you have that really rigid frame sheet that also helps support the bag when you're wearing it with a lot of weight, no sort of fleece lining on the inside, which would've been nice to see. But I do like that. The compartment is actually suspended from the bottom of the ground to help add that extra bit of protection when you drop your bag so pulling my laptop out now with the compartment empty, you can get a better look at the inside. It does come up a decent amount too

 This one here offers a nice amount of volume and space. It'S gon na be great for holding some smaller accessories that you don't want getting lost in the bottom of the bag, and so what I currently have here is some of my tech stuff. I have just a USBC dongle and then I also have my Apple Magic Mouse and so a really simple compartment here. I love that it's very easy to see what's on the inside and then just how much these compartments end up coming out

 Notebook and then I have my GoPro Hero, 3 plus and then the last thing that I have in here is just a simple lightning cable to charge my phone, and so even with all the items that I had in there, there was still plenty of leftover space. I can easily fit both of my hands in here. You can see just how much this compartment comes up so plenty of volume here this is gon na - be a great spot for maybe putting something like a dub kit or your toiletries, while you're going through TSA. If you want to get to them quickly, so really loved the simplicity and the amount of space offered in both of these compartments at the top, and so the next area that we're gon na take a look at is the laptop compartment, and I really like that
