I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I am wildly impressed with whoever engineered this bag to be able to fit an obnoxious amount of stuff in it and still look this slim - it's not bulky at all. I can fit more stuff in this bag than my previous camera bag (Lowpro Protactic 450) but the Mckinnon bag looks and feels much less bulky. Slow clap for whoever figured this out.

  The one thing I wasn't a huge fan of at first was the zippers. They have this extra layer of material between the teeth and the pull, which makes them kind of difficult to zip at first. I'm guessing they added this material to make the bag more waterproof. However, after just a few days of using it the zippers have become much more smooth, so I think they just need to "break in" a bit

There’s also a simple sternum strap to keep things together. You have five points of top to bottom adjustment on each shoulder strap, giving you a fair degree of adjustability. They clip in easily on both sides, so you won’t have a hard time dialing in things to your liking. 

 It opens up from the right-hand side, and we’ve put our 16-inch MacBook Pro in here and were delightfully surprised at how much buffer there is on all sides. You have your standard false bottom for sure, but you get a good inch or two on the other sides as well. That’s apart from the good amount of padding this compartment has. It’s even spacious enough for a 17-inch laptop, though thicker gaming laptops might not go in

 Plenty of convenient pockets for almost anything you can find a use for. The straps help absorb the weight of a full bag on your back and shoulders. So far, no issue bringing it on as a carry-on for a flight (United or Jetblue). I do recommend checking with your airline regarding carry-on policies

In conclusion, I really like that i don't have to carry two separate bags for clothes and camera gear for a short trip.  The versatility of this bag is definitely worth the price i paid, you won't be disappointed

 The straps also have a pretty nice width to help prevent the bag from digging into your shoulders, even when you're wearing it with a lot of weight and then at the top. You also have these load lifters, which is gon na, be really great for kind of tweaking how the bag sits on your back. This works particularly well for a bag like this, just because it's a little bit taller, so it's nice to be able to pull that load a little bit closer to you to make it easier to carry the last thing I'll mention on the straps. Is that there's also an adjustable and removable sternum strap to help distribute the weight continuing on with the back paneling? This has also been really comfortable

 It goes down to about the midpoint of the bag and then on the inside of the compartment. You have this little magnetic divider here, which is gon na, be great for storing something a little bit more sensitive. This is an RFID protected area, so it's gon na be a great spot for something like your passport or your wallet. What I currently have here is just a field notes notebook to kind of showcase the size, but I was impressed with kind of how deep even this area went so really like the separation of the compartments and how easy everything is to use

 The next area that we're gon na take a look at is a larger organizational area, and this is also what the nomadic site calls kind of the clothing compartment and so before. Jumping in the first thing, I'll mention is this area and the main compartment do have a locking zipper. So that's a really nice kind of security feature, especially since this is a little bit more of a travel focus bag. And then I really like that this compartment opens up fully flat to allow you to pack it out really easily and really be able to see all the different organizational options that it has

 So a nice amount of protection here and then a really nice thing is that the compartment is actually suspended off the bottom of the ground. So it adds a nice amount of protection. Even if you happen to place your bag down a little bit harder and so pulling my laptop out now with the department empty, you can get a better look at the inside. It comes up a decent amount
