Comfort
Atlas Packs Athlete
Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.
Hiking
Atlas Packs Athlete
I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack.
On-Grid™ Packable Backpack Matador
I love the Matador On Grid Packable. I always pack it when I travel and it’s also my go to bag for walks and short hikes. I think it looks professional and is just the right size for what you mentioned. Plus it’s very water resistant
Compartment
On-Grid™ Packable Backpack Matador
First up is the front pocket. It opens up horseshoe-style, and the zippers go about a fourth of the way down. We’ve been using this pocket as a spot to dump our tech accessories—cords, dongles, an Apple Magic Mouse, and things of that nature. We like this smaller pocket up top more than other packable Matador bags that favored having these pockets go all the way to the bottom of the bag
Carry-on
On-Grid™ Packable Backpack Matador
We’ve been testing this bag around Detroit for two weeks now, so let’s dive into the review.
