I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 That said, when I take it hiking this summer, I think it will "absorb" my rolled up inflatable mattress quite nicely, in which case it will end up being perfectly sized. But just for the pack alone, it was "sloshing around" inside of it quite a bit.  Which leads to minor issue #2, which is that this thing is awkward as heck to carry with a full pack inside of it. Slinging it over your shoulder is worthless: It will bang around your knees

A bit large, but useful

  I'm impressed with the quality of the fabric. Believe it's ripstop. It seems very sturdy and thicker than expected - well sewn seams, fabric handles seam solid. All the zippers have nice rubberized pull tabs that are easy to grab and pull

 Zippers seem fine.  Here's my two complaints and wht I gave it four stars instead of five. First, there's a little sub pocket near the stuff pocket that seems to be for the single shoulder strap. Guessing to put it on the plane they don't want to loose straps to caught on the equipment

Other minor design issue is that the one shoulder strap clips on to the with some pretty cheap-looking plastic snap clasp. For as much as this cost, why not put a durable metal clasp? (See pic) Or at least a more solid-seeming plastic one

Well-made But a Few Design Issues

Looking for something to protect my pack from being dragged while shipping it, this literally is made for it! The shoulder strap is really nice too!

So this gets 2 Stars from me and here’s why. It gets more than 1 because it did the job required: protect my pack, keep it in good order while on a plane. The bare minimum

 I love how the straps have been implemented. They have this nice foam here. That'S very soft right out of the box on the inside. They have this meshy material to help prevent moisture from building up, and then the straps also have a nice width to help prevent the bag from digging into your shoulders when it's a little bit more packed out

 You can see that the compartment is nice and deep, so anything that you place in here isn't going to fall out accidentally and then because of this material in addition to shaping around larger objects, it's also going to make sure that the pocket hugs the bag. When it's not in use to make sure to keep a cleaner look at the top of the bag, you have a very nice handle that has this durable seat belt like material that feels like it's not going to tear when the bag is a little bit more Packed out - and it's also thick enough - that this is comfortable even when the bag is heavier and then rounding out on the exterior here on the front, you have a small little loop, where you can attach something like a bike light, and then you also have compression Straps on each side that are going to allow you to compress the bag down, to make it slimmer when it's a little bit emptier and they're, also going to serve as attachment points when you have some extra gear to carry one nice thing about these compression straps Is that there seems to be this little pocket here along the front where you can hide these away when they're not in use to give the bag a little bit of a more minimal look and then taking a look at the capacity the bag comes in. At about 28 liters, which is a really versatile size, in my opinion, i was easily able to hold all the items that i normally like to carry with me on my day-to-day, and i was also able to pack this out very well as a minimal travel bag And i like that, even when the bag is a little more filled out, it still maintains a very slim silhouette, making it great for navigating crowded areas, jumping onto public transit and carrying on to pretty much any domestic or international airline and then moving on to the Straps in the back panel, this is an area where osprey's bags always excel. The harness system has been very comfortable to wear here

 I have my blue portable bluetooth. Speaker and power bank and then all the way on the right i just tossed in a simple usbc hub for my macbook pro and then the last thing that i'll call out in this compartment is that you have this small lanyard with a nice plastic clip here. That'S going to be a great spot to attach something like your keys or a multi-tool, and then the last area that we're going to take a look at is the main compartment, and so this is a top loading bag. But the compartment opens up wide enough that you can easily see what's on the inside and so at 28 liters of capacity

 The bag comes in at 1.8, pounds, which is really impressive, considering how comfortable and protective everything feels - and this is going to be particularly helpful if you want to use this for any sort of international travel and then on top of the nice exterior material. You also have some great and well protected ykk zippers all throughout and then continuing along the outside of the bag. I was very happy to see that you have some external water bottle pockets and i, like the implementation here they have this very elastic material
