Comfort

Atlas Packs Athlete

(1/2)

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack.

Osprey Aura AG 65 Pack - Women's

(1/4)

I thru-hiked the entire Appalachian Trail and more (around 3,000 miles put on it) with this backpack. It has held up wonderfully. The suspension is one of my favorite features, it keeps the pack off my back so that I don't get overheated or super sweaty. The pack its self is extremely durable, it's been dragged acorss rocks, submerged in water and has held up to all the abuse i've subjected it to

Size

Osprey Aura AG 65 Pack - Women's

(1/2)

maybe I am just too dang big (fat) for this pack. This review is just based on comfort and not function as I will never be able to tolerate usinging it to test its actual functionality because it is about as comfortable as one might imagine a bear trap, clamped at the hips, would be. Maybe it would be amazing if I lost 65 pounds. I guess the search continues

Strap

Osprey Aura AG 65 Pack - Women's

(1/1)

To counteract that, I set the shoulder and chest straps a little snugger than I've used on the Ariel. I was worried that could cause the straps to rub - but they didn't. Everything stayed in place. That was a great relief
