I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 You have another little stretchy area. Here goes all the way to the bottom: a couple zipper pockets here you could put SD cards or batteries or remote shutters or whatever you like there and that's the the camera compartment. I bought this for a weekend trip to NYC, got there by train and didn't want to carry/roll a bag; this bag is perfect, 80L swallowed everything with room to spare. Was also looking at the next smaller size but the 80L won as 

urban trip

 So don’t go throwing this bag down on its front... but that would be a weird thing to do anyway

 Now this issue is a bit of a catch 22, because if the laptop compartment was at the back of this pack you’d have to unload the whole thing to get to it. Alternatively, some bags have a separate laptop compartment behind the main compartment. This is usually great and we love them, but we also love the function of being able to hide our straps away. It’s hard to include both of these features cleanly in a pack

 This is only an issue when the bag is full to the brim, and we’d rather have them there than not at all.

Osprey Farpoint 40 Review (Small & Large) | Pack Hacker

 Instead of sitting across the middle of your chest, it rides up to your collarbone. Overall a very good pack, just has a few flaws to keep it from being perfect.  Writing this after my 2 week trip backpacking. I'd still give it 4/5 stars but wanted to explain how it performed

 Attach points for the daylite day pack are also a nice feature. My only real knock on with the pack is the lack of lumbar support and the chest strap. The pack doesn't contour to your spine well, which can get kinda uncomfortable after a while. The chest strap is adjustable but it still sits too high on your chest

  Writing this after my 2 week trip backpacking. I'd still give it 4/5 stars but wanted to explain how it performed. The only negative thing about this back after using it for 2 weeks is that the backpack strap broke on day 1 at the airport. Other than that, this pack worked wonderfully

 See below for my first post and the follow up posts:  I am SERIOUSLY disappointed in this backpack. I spend $$ on this. My daughter used it for 2 weeks of traveling (not backpacking or anything). She liked it well enough, but -- see my picture -- one of the small compression straps just ripped off

 If you wanted to, but conveniently the option is there to have a separated sleeping bag compartment for main access to the pack, we do have, as I mentioned, that large panel loading zipper. I'Ve just got a bag in here to show for size, but you can see that it is a very large easy to access internal pocket. We do have two compression straps on the inside to help cinch down here. If you need to so, you can really lock it in allows you to kind of compress some clothing, so you can add even more items but really convenient the large internal capacity on the front face

 So it's really easy to store a sleeping bag. If you need to like I've, got here or any other gear that you want to keep separate, and there is a divider in there - that's just held together by some webbing, and you can easily drop that out to have one large capacity internal pack bag. If you wanted to, but conveniently the option is there to have a separated sleeping bag compartment for main access to the pack, we do have, as I mentioned, that large panel loading zipper. I'Ve just got a bag in here to show for size, but you can see that it is a very large easy to access internal pocket

 In case you wanted to separate gear, so the main access point is a large panel loading zipper. It'S going to allow you to access the majority of the contents of the pack I'll show that in a second, but this pack does have a bottom compartment as well. So like a standard, backpacking pack would have a sleeping bag compartment. This bag also has that bottom compartment

 So you can really dial in that fit up top really convenient a very comfortable suspension system on the pack to keep this flap out of your way while wearing the pack. It does roll up really conveniently into the base. So if you just roll that up, there is kind of a pocket on the bottom side and there are two velcro pieces. You can just tuck those away kind of push it together and it'll sit there nicely

Osprey Farpoint 80 Travel Pack

 There and like I said, if you don't need them, you could take them away and leave them at home. I do want to mention that this pack does exceed the carry-on requirements for, or restrictions for, domestic airlines, so it will need to be checked if you plan to take it on an airplane. Overall, it's very convenient and very simple. It offers enough organization without being too much it's great for adventure travel or just going from place to place

 There are two buckles right on the front here, one at the top one at the bottom, and there is a zipper that holds this pack on. You can simply unzip it and the whole day pack will come off. So it's a really convenient little pack to use as your personal item when you're going on to a plane or a train, any type of travel and we've got a suspension system on the back of this pack as well. So, just lightweight shoulder straps padded, shoulder straps and a padded ventilated back panel, so very comfortable, lightweight and flexible

 On the inside of this day. Pack, there is a lot of organization so open it up. I'Ve just got a jacket in there now to kind of stuff. It out to show the size i'll set that aside on the inside, we do have a large laptop sleeve in the back

 So it's a padded sleeve. You can easily store a laptop or tablet they're, small laptops. Might I add, and a mesh pocket for some additional organization so overall, very large capacity with a lot of organization? We do have a scratch free pocket on the front here so great for some glasses and three players or anything you don't want to get scratched or damaged. There is a pocket there very nice place to store additional items and, as I mentioned, those stretch pockets on the outside, so very convenient little day
