Comfort

Atlas Packs Athlete

(1/2)

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Hiking

Atlas Packs Athlete

I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack.

Osprey Farpoint 80 Travel Pack - Men's

(1/1)

Instead of sitting across the middle of your chest, it rides up to your collarbone. Overall a very good pack, just has a few flaws to keep it from being perfect. Writing this after my 2 week trip backpacking. I'd still give it 4/5 stars but wanted to explain how it performed

Compartment

Osprey Farpoint 80 Travel Pack - Men's

(1/1)

Now this issue is a bit of a catch 22, because if the laptop compartment was at the back of this pack you’d have to unload the whole thing to get to it. Alternatively, some bags have a separate laptop compartment behind the main compartment. This is usually great and we love them, but we also love the function of being able to hide our straps away. It’s hard to include both of these features cleanly in a pack

Osprey Farpoint 80 Travel Pack - Men's

So don’t go throwing this bag down on its front... but that would be a weird thing to do anyway

Size

Osprey Farpoint 80 Travel Pack - Men's

(1/1)

I bought this for a weekend trip to NYC, got there by train and didn't want to carry/roll a bag; this bag is perfect, 80L swallowed everything with room to spare. Was also looking at the next smaller size but the 80L won as

Strap

Osprey Farpoint 80 Travel Pack - Men's

(1/2)

Attach points for the daylite day pack are also a nice feature. My only real knock on with the pack is the lack of lumbar support and the chest strap. The pack doesn't contour to your spine well, which can get kinda uncomfortable after a while. The chest strap is adjustable but it still sits too high on your chest
