I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

I experienced no discomfort at the shoulders nor hips while wearing the pack on a 4 hour hike with 2500' (760m) of elevation gain. 

The pack is just below the maximum possible size for airplane carry-on bags, which is great because I'm a fan of avoiding the checked luggage whenever possible. 

The kickstand frame allows the pack to stand up if you load it properly (heavy stuff near your back), which is cute. It is also comfortable, which is imperative. The adjustable-length straps are well padded, and feel well built/sewn overall. If you ride with drop handlebars and have a shorter neck like I do, the back of your helmet may hit the top of the pack when you look far ahead

Not just a bike commuter pack...

 Not only is this backpack comfortable & supportive for my back due to the frame & suspension but it is also very accommodating for my needs on my bike rides. As an IT professional that goes on an on-call rotation, it's also very accommodating for my laptop, wireless mouse, power cables, jacket and a few other items (e.g. - snacks, power bank, Swiss Army knife, etc

Best Backpack I Ever Bought

I purchased this pack to replace the Radial 34 model before this one. This is the 3rd version of the Radial I own (2 of the 34’s and a 35). I primarily use this for travel, going to the office, and short overnight trips. I like the features of the cycling version, as I can also use this to hit a grocery store on my bike

 * Adjustable strap for the shoulder for better resting on your back (a reason why I purchased) * Adjustable height button for shoulder strap. (Nice feature that is kind of hidden until you look at it) * Side shove it zip pocket is very handy * Mesh support to keep the bag off your back is nice. It provides airflow. * Sternum strap is nice

 (really nice to know it is there in a heavy storm) * Zipper extenders are a nice touch. Features are not executed well with this version

 The zip to expand and contract volume is awesome. I have set mine up not to just commute, but I can live out of it, and often for 3-4 days I do. If I was coaching up myself, get it. Use it

Best pack I have used in years

 This makes a ton of sense because large ring pulls are handy for easier access to the main compartment, while slim pulls for the bottom rain fly pocket keep things low-profile. 

The shoulder straps can be vertically adjusted through a clever anchor system. The top end of the shoulder straps forms a collar with toggles that thread through slots built into the sides of the floating back panel. There are five slots on each side, giving you a total of five levels of adjustments. By our testing, those with bigger builds among the Pack Hacker crew felt comfortable with the second topmost slot, while those with smaller builds felt more comfortable with the bottom two slots

 Some bags in the neighborhood of the Radial’s size feel floppy, but the good news is that’s not the case here.

 Osprey’s aware of this, and they’ve made sure to kit out the Radial with a harness system that’s more at home with hiking backpacks than typical day-to-day backpacks. It’s not quite as comprehensive as something like the one on the Salkan Backpacker where everything is padded like a racing seat. However, there’s still a ton of adjustability on the Radial to help you tune it to your needs.

Osprey Radial is a sturdy pack. I have used it almost every single day to commute around the city and run errands for over 2 years with no visible wear and tear.

Hi all

I'm looking for a 30-35l backpack to use for daily commute by motorcycle and light travel.

 Since I'll be using it while commuting I'm looking for a durable and water-resistant bag. I don't want something that needs a cover to be water-resistant enough during light to medium rainfall. Preferably a bag that has a sternum strap, if there is a waist strap I'd prefer it to be detachable. I'm trying to get a pack that can hold gym clothes + shoes, towel, 15 inch laptop, mouse and keyboard, chargers, water bottle, headphones.

So far my favourite option is the Patagonia Black Hole 32, it seems to be a great size for what I intend to use the bag for, looks durable, solid company and the black hole line looks to be pretty popular with satisfied users. My only 'worries' are the accessibility of the laptop compartment for daily use and how water-resistant the zippers are.

Any other recommendations that would fit my needs are very welcomed or if you happen to have the black hole 32 or any of the other products from the black hole line I'd love to hear your experiences.

Recommendations for 30-35l backpack for motorcycle commute and light travel

 Now we can close that up and then yeah you're left with the main compartment. So i just have some. You know items to keep warm in here in case i'm going somewhere colder and yeah that rain jacket kind of juts into the bottom. Here, a little bit you can see, but other than that, just basically a pretty much just a big compartment laptop compartment is the back, which i really appreciate on the osprey farpoint, it's kind of in the front and just a little bit weird, at least on the Version we had tested a while back

 So it's got this kind of circular softer material as well. On the front there pretty ample space, so it's about this size in the front. I usually put my edc wallet edc items in there that i take out of my pockets while i'm biking so keys phone wallet. All that goes in here, while i'm biking and then for things that i access less frequently i like to put into this pouch or this pocket on the front here

 I just didn't really use it much. One of my favorite sternum strap designs is here it's just kind of on this rail. I like it, because you can just dial it into exactly where you need it relatively quickly and depending on what you have inside, you might have this position a little bit differently. So that's really easy built-in whistle up here at the top

 Those just kind of flap out in the wind, along with yeah these adjuster straps, and then you don't have them on the hip belt. Either. It'S not really a hip belt, more of like a waist belt. I guess because it doesn't hold any weight, but that's one thing: maybe if i was gon na make a recommendation to osprey, i mean this is a biking, bag and you're, usually like flying down the street
