 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 It opens on the back and you get full access to the whole bag here in the back, and it has a little special feature called the origami compartment here, which basically allows you to turn some storage space into camera space or, like I said, storage space, and You have more volume for other stuff in the back. It'S it's very shallow, I'm an Olympus ambassador and I shoot with Olympus glass, of course, which is small lenses and they fit in perfectly. But if you have slightly bigger lenses, you'll end up putting them in sideways. Like this, I know that for future versions of this backpack there will be it'll, be slightly deeper and then normal full-frame lenses will also fit in upright or the general full frame lens will fit in upright

 They're not just smaller and larger versions of the exact same pack. There are some differences. this one has a laptop compartment on the front. This one has it inside

They both feature internal metal frames which again standard for hiking packs to help distribute the load of the pack down onto your hips rather than on your shoulders. They have or this one has an adjustable velcro thing for adjusting depending on your your torso height which is great can you get a good fit

Like most of the Osprey packs, it's got all of the right lashings where they need to be, which is fantastic for when you're on the move and that will kind of stop all of your gear kind of throwing around and throwing you off weight, particularly if you're on steep terrain. I mean it really is just a solid all-around bag and that's why we love Osprey so much

 The Osprey a mesh back frame really allows that separation between your back and the bag, which is gonna help with ventilation and stop that horrendous wet back feeling. Making sure that a hiking pack is the best fit for you is really important, and it's even better when you can do that quite conveniently. Osprey Do an awesome job at really simplifying the way that you can change the way that the pack fits. This bag is ok for new and starting hiker, as soon as I got the bag I started putting my gear in it and notice one of the zipper where the sleeping bag/quilt is placed was broken, I’m hoping that the other zipper doesn’t break being that is the only one left already and I didn’t even get to take it out yet, witch leads me to believe that the hardware on the bag is not all that great, cheap even for an osprey bag. Other than that the osprey bag is pretty lightweight and comfortable but don’t know if I would go with this one again

 I think it's a good pack for the price. And of course you get the Osprey reliability and the reputation behind them. If of course you're new to hiking while camping and you may be considering the Osprey Book 50 as a pack for you, I'd recommend you maybe go into a local stockist to try it. make sure it fits you that feels comfortable, even put some items inside just so you can get an idea of how you can carry the weight

 Another design feature that I really like is these shoulder straps. They're nice and thick, well padded, but not overly comfortable to wear, and I have no problems at all with this sitting on my shoulders. It just seems to start digging into me after maybe a couple of hours of walking and even though I've tried to move the load around inside the pack, it just seems to kind of lay a bit awkward on the back of my, uh, my hip. I can be a bit uncomfortable after some time

 It will cover the pack fully loaded, even with maybe some small items on the outside to protect it from the elements. So for these side pockets, they're a good size. They're able to fit one liter water bottles in both sides, plus some other bits and pieces. I particularly like the fact there's a top and a side opening to the pockets, so as you're walking along, you can easily put your hand in to pull something out of that side pocket to keep on walking on the trail

To give you an overall idea of the size of these side pockets here, I've had one little water bottle in both of them, as well as other items legs of my buff, some pair of gloves, even my soil water filter as well as fitted inside these. so the suspension system is really useful
