 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 You have another little stretchy area. Here goes all the way to the bottom: a couple zipper pockets here you could put SD cards or batteries or remote shutters or whatever you like there and that's the the camera compartment.  It'S not like the foam that you would use for your backpack uh straps, it's like a very thick foam, and so they they sent me these, and i actually was able to do the install myself to upgrade this original backpack to be capable of handling a lot More weight and to just improve the frame and that's cool, i think it's important to reuse. You know products like this and to turn them into more functional, updated products when we can so we don't just throw out perfectly viable and useful backpacks and other type of hiking this one. So that's it! That'S my review of the bag. I think it's a great backpack, i i think it's um worth checking these out

 If you want stuff that needs to stay absolutely dry, this is a well protected area for your important documents and things like that. This bag has been incredibly comfortable. The most comfortable backpack I've ever had that's also a camera bag and, as you can see, this bag expands to infinity. I haven't actually reached a point where this bag is full, where it's overfilled and where it's been too heavy to carry or anything like that

 It opens on the back and you get full access to the whole bag here in the back, and it has a little special feature called the origami compartment here, which basically allows you to turn some storage space into camera space or, like I said, storage space, and You have more volume for other stuff in the back. It'S it's very shallow, I'm an Olympus ambassador and I shoot with Olympus glass, of course, which is small lenses and they fit in perfectly. But if you have slightly bigger lenses, you'll end up putting them in sideways. Like this, I know that for future versions of this backpack there will be it'll, be slightly deeper and then normal full-frame lenses will also fit in upright or the general full frame lens will fit in upright

 They're not just smaller and larger versions of the exact same pack. There are some differences. this one has a laptop compartment on the front. This one has it inside

 They both feature this top flap drawstring top system and then they both have space down in front of the box that actually holds the camera gear and so with compression straps on the sides. Again, this is true for both models. You can stuff the pack as full as you need to and then cinch them down, throw a tripod on the side, and and make it work. Of course, made out of, you know, ripstop nylon

 Back panels are very similar with this sort of ribbed material. It's very comfortable. The biggest thing that I like about the the suspension system here is the waist belt. Now a lot of packs have waist belts

 just like any other outdoor pack you'd expect. They have the same suspension system for the shoulder harnesses here which is great. They both feature internal metal frames which again standard for hiking packs to help distribute the load of the pack down onto your hips rather than on your shoulders. They have or this one has an adjustable velcro thing for adjusting depending on your your torso height which is great can you get a good fit

The Osprey Syncro 12 immediately made a positive impression on us during testing and only continued to impress us from there, earning it top honors in our Best Hydration Packs category. This pack performed well and scored at the top of every performance metric we tested for hydration packs. This is a versatile pack, with easy-to-use storage and organization options. It's very durable, too. One of our testers has been using one for over a year with no issues whatsoever. The breathable back panel is common with most Osprey packs and is always a welcome feature on hot days. The hydration system on this pack is also excellent. We love the placement of the drinking hose and how easy it is to refill and replace the bladder. There is enough extra volume in this pack to store a layer or two as well. 
While the Syncro is very capable in every regard, the burly construction and plethora of features make it quite heavy for a hydration pack. This is one of the only downsides to this pack, though. But since it comfortably carries weight we didn't mind the extra ounces. Also, we would love to see some pockets on the hip belt, maybe that will be an improvement for the next version of this all-around great hydration pack for hiking, mountain biking, festivals, and more.

Really an amasing pack, a lot more room inside than I had anticipated & functions really well on longer trail outings superbly.  Comes with Osprey's "Hydraulics" bladder +  tubing which is over-engineered & is the only reason it's not a 5 star review.  *Just do yourself a favor and replace the tubing with a long straight replacement tube & bite valve from Camelbak. ( Or a camelback bladder kit

 it's all. demonstrate. Slide that right in there and it feels nice and secure. So now the Camelbak that I'm talking about is the Hydro back

 And another thing to note is the zippers feel very durable. I would definitely like that about this one and they just have a nice feel to them and I feel like they'll last a long time now in the front pocket. I Usually carry my essentials here. There are tons of little places so you have a big one up here

 So this provides a bit of support and breathability if that's even a word for your back and it still keeps your stuff secure. but let's the air pass through so you that you cannot swim like crazy. Also these straps you have a sternum strap where the magnetic piece on your hydration hose attaches to right there and then you have a lower one that will mount on your waist as I will demonstrate here, there's some room in the front here where you can fit a light jacket or clothing or your gloves something like that. So throw a glove in there, just one and and then it clips back up quite nicely in this little pouch area right there and you can cinch that down as well to make sure nothing falls out

 so your tools, whatever else you're carrying isn't gonna scratch up that stuff and it's nice and easy to access. so definitely like that. And another thing to note is the zippers feel very durable. I would definitely like that about this one and they just have a nice feel to them and I feel like they'll last a long time now in the front pocket

Osprey Syncros 12 Hydration Pack Review

 Comparing the two, I find the S12 to be more comfortable, the harness hugs the body and the load lifters (although small) do help with getting a snug fit. I also really enjoy the new organization options, especially the separate bladder pocket. I'm also pleased with the lid lock being moved to the top. I always had problems knocking into things when it stuck out from the rear

Improvements but at a cost

 Even on my local flatland trails, when I hit roots, rocks and small jumps it often comes loose. Furthermore, because the magnet on the hose is free to swivel, when I try to put it back on I sometimes have to twist it to get it properly aligned with the bite valve. The other improvement I would wish for is for the "slash pocket" to be just a bit bigger. On the old Syncro 10 I could fit my phone (6

Best ventilation but magnet hose holder is not enough

 keeps it inside so I don't have to worry about the ugliness of a cord hanging loose which apparently was by the last design. so go ahead and close this one up one zipper so not as many choices. However, on both you'll also notice that it has these pretty good size loops, so that way if you're wearing gloves. if not, it just keeps it very simple and easy to pull this closed

 So great design there. This is the middle and main storage compartment area so this one opens up with symmetry and that symmetrical design allows you to reach all the way nearly into the bottom of the pack without any effort whatsoever. The bladder is going to press slightly outwards here so, but you'll be able to store quite a lot of things in here larger maybe a jacket, maybe other articles of clothing, whatever the heck that you want to carry, just giving you more space. And then you do have compression straps, so when you're maybe not using as much of it, or if you want to keep it to where it's not rumbling around, you'd be able to tighten that up once again

 This one does have a different open so the last one opened up symmetrically a little bit further down on this side, whereas this one opens even further. so asymmetrical, but allowing you further access down in this tool compartment compartment area where you're basically allowing yourself that flexibility to organize your tools. so the bike pump may be tire inner tubes, other tools that you could carry again. main compartment is actually a little bit more spaced and then a top carry area here here housing what would more to likely be your key or something that you could secure, maybe by ring anything else that you would need to place inside there
