I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 You have another little stretchy area. Here goes all the way to the bottom: a couple zipper pockets here you could put SD cards or batteries or remote shutters or whatever you like there and that's the the camera compartment.  What happens then, is that the main component of the bag has a hollow bottom (like a cave) that just makes the bag awkward when putting documents. Documents can't sit flat inside the bag (see video) and I just don't feel secure putting my items (such as a keyboard) inside of it due to the off chance that it snaps.  I bought the bag in USA, but have since left the country. I will be contacting Osprey to see if they can arrange some form of return (If Osprey's customer service is reading this, please contact me if possible)

 The inner design of the laptop sleeve. They seemed to have changed the design between their pixel and this transporter bag. Previously, the sleeve is part of the entire component of the bag in their pixel. But for their transporter zip top, they seemed to have separated this

 This probably isn't a good idea for Osprey as it will result in many people returning their items for a warranty in the foreseeable future. 2. The inner design of the laptop sleeve. They seemed to have changed the design between their pixel and this transporter bag

Unique shape, which unfortunately just doesn't work

I have been bike commuting to work and taking this bag to the climbing gym for about a month and a half now. I debated between the smaller transporter packs and packs from other companies, but chose this one because of the simplicity of the design and capacity. I am really happy with this pack and it feels like Osprey thought of everything. Generally when I leave my house in the morning, my pack is full with climbing gear, a change of workout clothes, work shoes, my laptop, a book or two and breakfast and lunch

 I've gotten lots of compliments on the pack and would highly recommend this pack for commuting.

 I have not had any problems fitting all the items I need, yet the shape is compact so the bag does not get in the way when I'm riding my bike, even when it's full. I also appreciate the bike light attachment on the back of the pack and all of the extra stash pockets. I've gotten lots of compliments on the pack and would highly recommend this pack for commuting.

Unique eyecatching shape that unfortunately is its downfall

The Transporter 40 is essentially a large 40L bucket you can throw a load of gear into. It’s easy to pack and maximize all the space inside, but we’d still recommend using packing cubes to compartmentalize everything and increase organization. Additionally, there are two compression straps that will help hold everything together, and while we didn’t utilize them too often, they are nice to have.

 The straps are well padded and slightly curved, which give it a comfortable carry overall. There’s also a detachable sternum strap with a whistle, in case you ever need it in an emergency (hopefully you won’t). 

And finally, Osprey provides an attachable shoulder strap that can turn the Transporter 40 into a messenger bag. We like to keep this strap in the hideaway harness sleeve so it’s always there if we need it, but you can opt to leave it at home if it’s not your thing. To attach the strap, simply clip the carabiners on each end to the attachment points on either side of the bag. It’s nice and straight-forward

What a great bag this is!!!! Durable premium material! Spacious and a compartment with extra padding at the bottom to protect the laptop! Absolutely loved it. Highly recommended but bare in mind that it is a 30lt bag and I am a tall guy(1.93m) so size-wise it might be a bit big for everyday use for some people.

I was going to get the Osprey Transporter zip top (old version) because it was on sale, except the picky part in me doesn’t know how to feel about the zip water bottle pockets. I personally prefer stretchy side pockets like the newer one, but an added benefit to the zip side pockets is the security. If you do get one of these, please update us on how you like the features of the old or new!

I've been considering lightweight packs in the 25-30L range, and I noticed that two versions of the Transporter have been recently updated.  I thought I would share some of the difference I noticed in case it's helpful to anyone here.

I'm liking the idea of side access for the laptop compartment on both, as well as the stretch water bottle pockets, as there have been criticisms of the previous pockets taking up main compartment space.

 I love how the straps have been implemented. They have this nice foam here. That'S very soft right out of the box on the inside. They have this meshy material to help prevent moisture from building up, and then the straps also have a nice width to help prevent the bag from digging into your shoulders when it's a little bit more packed out

 You can see that the compartment is nice and deep, so anything that you place in here isn't going to fall out accidentally and then because of this material in addition to shaping around larger objects, it's also going to make sure that the pocket hugs the bag. When it's not in use to make sure to keep a cleaner look at the top of the bag, you have a very nice handle that has this durable seat belt like material that feels like it's not going to tear when the bag is a little bit more Packed out - and it's also thick enough - that this is comfortable even when the bag is heavier and then rounding out on the exterior here on the front, you have a small little loop, where you can attach something like a bike light, and then you also have compression Straps on each side that are going to allow you to compress the bag down, to make it slimmer when it's a little bit emptier and they're, also going to serve as attachment points when you have some extra gear to carry one nice thing about these compression straps Is that there seems to be this little pocket here along the front where you can hide these away when they're not in use to give the bag a little bit of a more minimal look and then taking a look at the capacity the bag comes in. At about 28 liters, which is a really versatile size, in my opinion, i was easily able to hold all the items that i normally like to carry with me on my day-to-day, and i was also able to pack this out very well as a minimal travel bag And i like that, even when the bag is a little more filled out, it still maintains a very slim silhouette, making it great for navigating crowded areas, jumping onto public transit and carrying on to pretty much any domestic or international airline and then moving on to the Straps in the back panel, this is an area where osprey's bags always excel. The harness system has been very comfortable to wear here

 I have my blue portable bluetooth. Speaker and power bank and then all the way on the right i just tossed in a simple usbc hub for my macbook pro and then the last thing that i'll call out in this compartment is that you have this small lanyard with a nice plastic clip here. That'S going to be a great spot to attach something like your keys or a multi-tool, and then the last area that we're going to take a look at is the main compartment, and so this is a top loading bag. But the compartment opens up wide enough that you can easily see what's on the inside and so at 28 liters of capacity

 The bag comes in at 1.8, pounds, which is really impressive, considering how comfortable and protective everything feels - and this is going to be particularly helpful if you want to use this for any sort of international travel and then on top of the nice exterior material. You also have some great and well protected ykk zippers all throughout and then continuing along the outside of the bag. I was very happy to see that you have some external water bottle pockets and i, like the implementation here they have this very elastic material

 Since it spreads out the weight more evenly, it's so much more comfortable on your shoulders and it's more supportive over long commutes. There'S a removable hip belt and an just upholster no strap with a built-in safety whistle there's also a blinker light attachment up front so you're visible in low-light. This pack will feel better on your back over long commutes you'll stay organized no matter what the day holds and it'll last forever because of the burly fabrics

 The flap lid has a small pocket on the outside and I'd stow, my phone and wallet in the front zipper for easy access. Many packs like this have simple shoulder: straps that are just sewn onto the pack body individually, but aspirin made a yoke style harness for comfort instead of having to direct points of contact with your shoulders, you actually carry the load of this pack all across the top. Since it spreads out the weight more evenly, it's so much more comfortable on your shoulders and it's more supportive over long commutes. The airscape back panel also takes a note from Ospreys hiking packs and allows warm air to escape while cool fresh air circulates

 The shoulder, straps and back panel are comfortable while the smart, pockets and compartments keep you organized the weatherproof fabrics it's made out of were first used by Osprey to make their durable duffels they're a personal favorite of mine because they can stand up to anything city. Life is just as hard on your gear as life on the trail and trusting Ospreys long heritage of hiking gear. You know you're getting a superior bag for your everyday commute. Let'S check it out
