Comfort

Atlas Packs Athlete

(1/2)

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Pacsafe CitySafe CX Anti-Theft Convertible Travel Pack - Women's

(1/2)

I have been pleasantly surprised at the comfort riding in the heat; I haven't actually noticed much difference compared to my dedicated bike-commuting pack that has an integrated suspension system to hold it away from your back. I'm guessing this has to do with the low profile of the Pacsafe Vibe that keeps it from totally covering your whole back. I'm 5' 9" and a lean build and have found the pack very comfortable. The laptop pouch (which doubles to hold your hydration bladder) securely holds a 13-14" laptop with great padding

Hiking

I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack.

Pacsafe CitySafe CX Anti-Theft Convertible Travel Pack - Women's

However, as a hiking backpack this bag leaves a bit to be desired. The straps offer cross-body stabilization, but minimal padding. The bag also lacks external loops for additional gear/trekking pole attachment.

Compartment

Pacsafe CitySafe CX Anti-Theft Convertible Travel Pack - Women's

(1/1)

You can keep other documents or small items in the two compartments, however, the pack does not really expand to fit thicker/wider items (I tried to stuff my lunch tupperware containers in it but they barely fit). The side pockets can be used to fit narrow water bottles, though don't expand much to fit wider bottles. There is a waist strap but it gets more in the way than actually helps with carrying the pack, as the pack is probably small enough that the waist strap is not needed.

Carry-on

Pacsafe CitySafe CX Anti-Theft Convertible Travel Pack - Women's

(1/1)

the top corners being rounded is what makes it tight. But it works so I can use this as my purse for air travel and then leave the laptop at the hotel for going on day trips and fold it down to a clutch for evenings. The safety features seem great and I like that I can access the inside small back pocket via the outside so I can have my passport book/wallet right there for easy access. Very pleased with this purchase, just hoping it holds up to 6 weeks overseas!

Size

Pacsafe CitySafe CX Anti-Theft Convertible Travel Pack - Women's

- The front pocket's zipper is about an inch too small to easily accommodate entry for the extra large cellphones we use today. Once, i forgot i had keys in there, and was in a hurry, so i shoved my phone back into this tight front pocket, and scratched the front of my phone in so doing. - As a daypack, it would've been more useful if it had more space. It JUST managed to be enough space sometimes

Strap

Pacsafe CitySafe CX Anti-Theft Convertible Travel Pack - Women's

(1/2)

There’s a handy loop at the top for grab-and-go and the straps are nicely adjustable, as are the sternum and waist straps.
