Comfort
Atlas Packs Athlete
Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.
Patagonia Atom Sling
One of the best parts about this sling bag—and what sets it apart from the crowd—is its comfortable carry. There have been multiple times we’ve forgotten we’ve had it on. Seriously.
Hiking
Atlas Packs Athlete
I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack.

Carry-on
Patagonia Atom Sling
Rather than the Patagonia Atom sling, I would recommend getting a packable backpack that you can toss in your rucksack while you are travelling. I used to have a cheap Chinese one, which worked ok, but then broke after a couple of years, and I upgraded to a 16L Matador backpack, which while expensive is really great for day-to-day use, tough-as-nails, and completely waterproof.

Patagonia Atom Sling
Patagonia atom sling. Has good reviews, I've had one for a few years years and so far no issues/damage
