I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 I can move freely with the bag on my back, it swings to the side when I sit and slides around the to front in the car. I realize that a disabled guys review of the bag doesn’t apply to your hike but this is a great every day carry. I do appreciate the thought, research and craftsmanship that goes into a Patigonia product. You simply can’t go wrong with their products

My daughter and I both love using this bag for our bike rides.  The sling design makes it so easy to access tour water bottle, phone, keys, etc.  Just big enough for an afternoon bike ride or a hike, keeping it very light weight.  Excellent quality!

Minimal sling bag for men

Rather than the Patagonia Atom sling, I would recommend getting a packable backpack that you can toss in your rucksack while you are travelling. I used to have a cheap Chinese one, which worked ok, but then broke after a couple of years, and I upgraded to a 16L Matador backpack, which while expensive is really great for day-to-day use, tough-as-nails, and completely waterproof. 

Hi all! I am new to the One Bag community but have always been a very light packer so I'd love to do away with luggage and pick up a backpack. The trick is figuring out which one is the right one!

I - theoretically - have a 2.5 week trip to Ireland and Scotland in May 2021 (we'll see if that happens). Clearly, I have time to plan but I'm trying to figure out which bag to pick up and do some test runs and get used to it. I will be mainly staying in hostels, possibly some Air BNBs, and intend to do laundry throughout my trip. My pack list for my bag is:

- 2x merino tees
- 1x merino sweater
- 1x raincoat (packs down quite a bit but will probably worn a lot of the time)
- 4x merino socks
- 3x leggings
- 1x dress or jeans (can't decide which)
- 4x underwear
- 1x bra
- 1x pajamas (probably something like Uniqlo Heat Tech shirt + leggings)
- a regular size dopp kit (folding brush, a tin for solid soap, toothbrush, mascara, deodorant, etc.)
- airpods and wired earbuds
- a few charging cables
- flip flops

I'll be wearing a Patagonia Atom sling to carry my daily essentials (passport, wallet, phone, headphones, etc.)

My "wishes" for the bag I buy:
- somewhat minimalist
- clamshell/suitcase opening
- water bottle pocket
- sternum strap
- under $250
- to not totally overwhelm my frame (5'5", female)

I am a bit overwhelmed with what size backpack to purchase. Right now I'm eyeing *Evergoods CPL24* (or 28, maybe...) and the *PacSafe Vibe 28L*. I love the look of *Aer* bags as well as *Heimplanet*. I would ideally love to get the first purchase right (who wouldn't!), so I'm hoping that some of you could advise on which bag (or at least which size) makes the most sense as you all have so much more experience than I do!

 The first one is a very small compartment and inside it, houses a key leash, which you can just attach your keys to a good way. They just keep them secure and always know where they are. This compartment goes to about this much of the size, so you'd probably can't fit a whole lot in here. Maybe some Bluetooth, wireless earphones or some snack bars, but yet not a whole lot of space that you have in this compartment now

 This compartment also features a padded tablet sleeve. So you can put in most large tablets inside here. At the moment I just have a little notebook inside, but it has this fleece lining inside which is padded and feels very soft to the touch that will do well to protect your screens. Combine that with the back panel padding it'll do well to protect your device, but this compartment is fairly large

 On the front of the bag, we have these two compression straps that are also accessory straps. If you have larger items of gear, you could put them inside here and just cinch them down whether that's a yoga mat or a large jacket. I'Ve seen some people with larger bottles, put them upside down and then just cinch them tight. So you have those options as well, but if you have a lot of gear in here and as you're moving, you don't want things jingling around as you move, then you can just secure all that load by compressing the bag

 In that way, you have everything nice and tight nice and secure. You also have this elastic webbing to tidy up the straps slack if it gets a bit too long. So you have that option as well and also these buckle. Clasps are really easy to open and close
