I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 You have another little stretchy area. Here goes all the way to the bottom: a couple zipper pockets here you could put SD cards or batteries or remote shutters or whatever you like there and that's the the camera compartment. This is for someone of slender or average build, not for stickier persons.  Also, it has a plastic look/feel, primarily on the back panel.

Wife does not like the "plastic" look.

Patagonia Black Hole Pack 25L Review | Pack Hacker

 Good to go so definitely have made this with the kind of outdoor adventures in mind, but i've been using it as a kind of urban edc bag and it works pretty well as both to be honest, quite a versatile back then, when it comes to harry uh, Carrie sorry, we've got nice shoulder straps here, pretty much what you would expect and like to find on a 25 liter bag. You got a sternum strap, which you don't always see on 25 liter bags and that's nice. It can just secure it a little bit better, but your body definitely improves the carry and um yeah shoulder straps. Really nice padding it's a really comfortable bag to carry overall and the back padding

 Now it's kind of slanted a little bit if you can see that and i've just in all honesty, just had some troubles with being able to get it in it's a little bit further down the pack, and this isn't ultimately useful for a laptop, whereas more so With a water bladder, so yeah just note that, but it does hold 15 inch laptops, no problem and then in the front it's got another little pocket where i've just got a tablet. So i'll take that out there then, on the other side. Finally, there's a little internal pocket mesh, which is nice in there it's got a little key lash, i'm not entirely sure where you'd want that in that compartment. Now i haven't been using this one: it's just a little bit hard to access in all honesty, so i haven't found and because i've got like tech equipment in like a tech pouch in the main compartment i haven't been

 As you can see, that's a pretty decent size, so i'll pop that down there as well and yeah 25 liters decent size of a bag. You know i've you can, if you're carrying this around as a work, bag or you're going on outdoor adventures plenty of space. Now i will add, when it's not all the way, full, it's a bit kind of crinkly and it kind of sags a little bit. So i'm not a crazy fan of what it is when you're not kind of packing this stuff out

Patagonia Black Hole Backpack 25L Review (2 Weeks of Use)

 So you can't really close this and then put something on top like a yoga mat, for example, but that does keep the top nice and clean looking, which we appreciate now on the inside of the bag. This is where you'll see that that pocket that it's stashed into it kind of becomes a an internal organization pocket, which you see right there. It is zippered which is nice and the key leash that we saw on the outside is now on the inside. So that's nice, that's a good little secure spot

 So if your bag is maybe overfilled a little bit, let's say that you're at the beach again - and you got your towels and everything filling up the thing you don't really need the top closed and you kind of have a little extra room with just a little Bit of security, keeping in with that drawstring, so that's pretty nice! It'S easy to go in and out also you'll see it right on the inside. Here there are compression straps, so those are for. If you have the bag overfilled, you know you can really really kind of stuff it full. You can see there's quite a bit of extra space at the top through these compression straps, so you can stuff it full and kind of use the straps to keep everything nice and compact, and instead of needing to worry about the zipper, the drawstring or use the Drawstring in conjunction with the straps and try to keep the thing really secure, one note about the compression straps is that they are on the inside of the zipper
