I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

  Con: (more so personal preference, but not a deal breaker) This backpack sits kind of high up on my back. The backpack could be slightly bigger. looks to fit a 15inch laptop nicely, but if you have a jacket you want to put in along with it, it could start to bulge a bit.

Great Design and Look

The silicon strap attached to the zip just fell off after couple of month the string was not sawed properly that the thread just came undone.  I contacted the seller but couldn't get an exchange..

We walk away from the Rains Backpack with a few key take-aways, not least of which are the less-than-ideal shoulder straps and its fiddly adjustment, the subpar internal visibility for this black variant, and the interior pocket’s zipper that was prone to jamming. It’s not all bad, though, as we still think that the styling’s appeal still holds up.

Our experience with the harness system wasn’t the most comfortable—especially when the bag was heavily loaded. The thin straps offered no cushion and dug into our shoulders, making it tiresome to carry for long periods. Plus, the shoulder straps took time to re-adjust, requiring us to take off the entire pack whenever we needed to—a problem we seldom encountered in other backpacks with more typical strap adjusters.

Hi everyone,

I already ask in the MacBook pro community without success ( and I just discover that the backpack community exists). 

I'm the happy owner of a 14" MacBook pro (M1 Pro) and since it arrives, I'm looking for a backpack to carry it. But I don't really know which one to buy. My budget is under 60€. I want a backpack with a dedicated laptop compartment. I'm 35 yo, small and thin woman so I don't want something too big. At first, I also didn't want something too "teenager" but every backpack more "trendy" is fucking expensive (I like sandqvist dante for example, but 120€ wtf!!!). 

During my research, I found the marshall travel Stormrider and the one that is more "normal" backpack ( both are on sale under 60€, the stormrider is harder to find) and the vans all around (on sale too). There is also the inevitable eastpak but I don't know in which model the mbp can fit because every model seems to be for 13" ( but the size of the backpack seems bigger than my laptop ). 

So if you have advice about my selection or any other backpack, I'd greatly appreciate it.

 So, on the top here is another quick access pocket and i've really struggled with the zipper it seems to get stuck facing one way. Sometimes i have to kind of pull it to get round which is really irritating. Let'S try it again, especially when you're um trying to access something quickly, which is what this pocket is handy for as soon as we don't have much quick access on the outside of the pack. So i've used this for the items that i want to get hold of quickly smaller items that i want to keep track of, and it is handy being right at the top of this bag here so that i don't have to dig around inside

 So let's take a look at this pack now, as you can see from the get-go, it's quite discreet, there's not a lot going on um, it's kind of quite smart. Looking as well. It'S got this matte kind of texture to it. It'S really smooth

 It'S not the most exciting we've seen you've got these two backpack straps here um as you can see, they offer no padding and they almost have started like creasing. You can see here just like the bends in them, and i found that if i'm wearing this without a thick kind of coat or jacket on the edges are quite kind of blunt, quite sharp so and they almost look well, they almost they do dig into my Shoulders and it's not very comfortable when you're walking around so, if you're planning on taking this and wearing it for hours and hours on end, you know with a lot of stuff inside it's not going to be the most comfortable one that you can find, and it's Not very adjustable either. Of course you can adjust it. As you can see, we've got these buckles down here, they're a bit of a pain to thread through as well

 I'M not sure how well you can see this on the camera, but you know a few kind of scratches and things like that have come up and you can kind of rub them off, but some are a lot more permanent. So we'll make sure to show you that on our full review as well, however, this material it does offer some really nice weather resistance as well so, and there are pros and cons to that material. It'S 50 polyurethane and 50 polyester, and you can see you know where the materials change throughout this pack on the back here as well on that back panel. There'S not much padding on this back panel, especially because this zipper, which i'll tell you about in a minute, but you may feel if you've got kind of more pointy items inside or sharper items in
