I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 You have another little stretchy area. Here goes all the way to the bottom: a couple zipper pockets here you could put SD cards or batteries or remote shutters or whatever you like there and that's the the camera compartment.  They loop onto the bag and every time I put the bag on I have to straighten the straps out at the top because they're flipped over. They're comfortable straps, but I cant figure out why they have them attached like that. This bag doesn’t convert to another way to carry it, so there is no reason to attach the straps like they’re removable. But this isn’t enough of an annoyance to prevent me from using the bag

First off, I love the size. I can pack everything I need for the day and still have space. The removable roll-top bag is handy and helps with organizing your contents inside. I love that it has a laptop pouch and my iPad seems secure when it's inside even though it is smaller than the pouch

The one area of the bag I don't love and why I took my review down a star are the shoulder straps. I've found the way they attach at the top of the bag to be really annoying. They loop onto the bag and every time I put the bag on I have to straighten the straps out at the top because they're flipped over. They're comfortable straps, but I cant figure out why they have them attached like that

Stylish and Versatile

Great pack. Hiked 10 miles in a downpour and not a single drop got onto my gear. Would benefit from another pocket in the main pouch (similar to the Patagonia version). Other wise couldn’t be happier

REI Beyonder Weekender Bag | Pack Hacker

I found the Beyonder Pack to be an average backpack.  As a bike commuter, I need my pack to be comfortable, about 30L, a few easy access pockets, and wide enough to accept various shaped objects.  The Beyonder was comfortable and a little under 30L; however, the pockets for small, routinely used items such as keys, wallet, and cell were not convenient at all. There was only one pocket exposed to the outside and it's contents usually spilled out due to it placement on top of the pack

Average Bag

 compression straps fit a chair or jacket underneath the bottom of pack. Packable chairs are back in:) Cloth material isn’t my favorite but so far feels good. all in all a great bag for the money. Very comfortable fit fit me anyway

great day pack

 I like the pockets- there are a bunch of them and they are all sized well for my stuff. The water bottle pocket design is great- often times these pockets are too big or too small but the stretchy material fit my water bottle great. I also found the backpack padding and straps very comfortable. The magnetic buckles look cool and work well

Comfortable, roomy and stylish

Good size for a day trip or use as a 2nd carry on.  Lots of handy pockets.  Needs a chest strap, though, to help balance weight.
