Comfort

Atlas Packs Athlete

(1/2)

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack.

REI Co-op Lightweight Stuff Sack

.always figured a large ziplock baggie would be just as good. However, I absolutely LOVE this sack. I have the yellow one and used it to keep snacks for a hiking trip

Carry-on

REI Co-op Lightweight Stuff Sack

Second, please go back to the tried-and-true drawstring closure where you simply squeeze the plastic piece and pull it down to close the bag. This new system is not an improvement in any way, and seems harder to close fully than the old system. And I never figured out what the little loop on the opposite side from the plastic piece is for (if anyone knows, please reply!).
