I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

Best Mirrorless Camera Bag? Atlas Packs Athlete Backpack

 Traveling home from Vietnam to Seattle with a broken backpack was super frustrating. :( I bought it late December and it broke 15 days later. The straps need to be stronger at the bottom connection point to the pack. I plan on returning when I can haul myself back to rei (I live on an island so it’s not easy)

I took this pack to Vietnam and loved everything about it except when the shoulder strap broke at the airport coming home, just from me putting it on my back. I am 4 11, 120 pound female so the pack is wasn’t that heavy. Traveling home from Vietnam to Seattle with a broken backpack was super frustrating. :( I bought it late December and it broke 15 days later

Buyer be aware! The laptop compartment doesn't fit a 17" laptop. I do not think every 15" laptop will fit in there either. 17" laptop does fit inside of the backpack in the main compartment, but it is a waste of space! This is what gets advertised in the features: "Padded laptop pocket separates laptop from main compartment, making it easier to get your laptop out for TSA", and it is not the case. I really needed that 17" laptop compartment, but was misled by inaccurate description of the product

  Easy to get to everything I need during my commutes.  I love the "anchor system" the pack has employed for quick strap removal or adjustment.  This pack will serve me well through schooling.  Highly recommended

Exceeded expectations!

I am a man of 70,1 inch and looking for a only one travel bag cabin size limit for digital nomading all around the world.So the capacity is max 45 liters. Need a 15 inch Macbook pocket, a solid bag, a bootle of water accessible, lockable zip, hip belt, breathable back, deperlant, very light when empty and sober and nice design which is city and not mountain style and can be pro if needed. Ok for expensive bag

 These straps are nice and thick and they're pretty dense as well. We haven't done full testing on this bag, but we have taken out for some walks here and there just to get a feel for it load it up with all of our stuff and took it out for some for some light weight testing. So it is pretty comfortable. What'S really nice of you notice? Is these contoured straps fit really well for us anyway, and they get pretty thin down here towards the bottom of the strap, which is right about where it'll hit in your like chest, arm area

 You can sort of see the zipper for the outside compartment and then there's also an zipper mesh pocket on the inside of this flap, which you can access from the inside of the bag. It'Ll be a little bit awkward based on how you have is awkward to show you, so it's probably awkward to access, but it's more for if you use this flat for opening access, you can hit this put some things in this mesh pocket. So, let's zip it all up and there's one last feature that kind of goes towards the outdoorsy nests. Also some lockable zippers here, which is, which is a nice touch

 So when you're walking walking around you kind of swing, your arms and it's, it stays thin and out of the way when doing that, which is which is a nice little feature. You'Ll have to worry about it, chafing if you're doing anything more intense or out for a long period of time. So we do appreciate that the back panel has got some ridges for airflow and some mesh going over top, which does help some is pretty comfortable. You know, obviously no bag is gon na totally be able to save you from that dreaded swamp back, but this the the flow and the National that will help some at the bottom

 You know you can fit you Dopp kit, maybe tech kit, maybe whatever you want to throw in there, that you want quick access to. Maybe a rain jacket depends on what you're doing, but there's quite a bit capacity, no internal organization here, just a large pocket, and then that brings us to be inside the main compartment of the bag. It'S got this sort of rectangular shape, which is actually pretty nice. If you're filling up with packing cubes, for example, you can typically get get a little bit tighter filled packing cubes if your bags a little more boxy
