Carry-on
SealLine WideMouth Duffel 40 L
For flying it is the right size for a carry on bag and I use it for that also. It's a little on the large size for a bow bag, but makes a nice foot rest in the canoe. No leaks in over 2 years of hard use.
Strap
SealLine WideMouth Duffel 40 L
I carry it on a sailboat and hate opening/closing it to grab something out of it. 2) it does not have good attachment points to sling it across your body or over a shoulder. It is designed to be carried by the handles (like a grocery bag) but it does not have a long longitudinal strap like many typical athletic duffel bags to sling over a shoulder (largely because of the design, where the secure points for the roll are at the ends.) I've created my own by attaching a long strap between two of the anchor points on diagonal sides of the bag, but it is not comfortable to sling over the shoulder because of where/how it attaches
