Comfort
Atlas Packs Athlete
Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

The bag is comfortable to wear, although a longer torso size would be good to make the hip belt usable for taller travellers. It’s easy to pack and the clamshell opening makes getting at your gear super easy. There are enough external pockets to keep smaller items organised and easy to find, while the internal laptop sleeve is good for keeping your computer safe and within easy reach. As with all Tropicfeel products, a highlight of this bag is the sustainability practices used in its construction
Hiking
Atlas Packs Athlete
I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack.
Compartment
Shell Tropicfeel
In a somewhat ironic twist, we found that the dopp kit can be a better tech pouch than the actual tech pouch, thanks to its superior amount of pockets and internal organization. One side of this clamshell-style pouch is an entire zipper pocket meant for your shampoo, liquid soap, generally stuff that can potentially spill, thus the water-resistant fabric. On the other side, you’ll find two liner pockets you can populate with items you need to grab easily during a shower. There’s another zipper pocket behind those two in case you needed it

Size

The simplest way to expand the size is to adjust the Shell’s top flap; by loosening the two buckle straps, you instantly gain a lot of volume. The top flap has a lot of slack to it, making the main compartment a very flexible space that can be bigger or smaller depending on your needs.
Strap

Backpack Straps Something that I always look for in a backpack is that it has a sturdy back on it, because I usually end up walking everywhere with it on and back pain can really put a dampener on any trip. Tropicfeel Shell Backpack has one of the sturdiest backs I’ve seen on a backpack and is built with dual-channel airflow to reduce sweating. You’ll also find a number of straps on the Shell Backpack such as the offload mechanism that allows you to adjust how the backpack sits, a hidden hip belt and adjustable sternum straps to help transfer the weight from your shoulders, and the added bonus of having a strap holder for when you’re not using them. It may not be the most interesting part of Tropicfeel Shell Backpack, but one of my favourite features is the side handle
