Comfort

Atlas Packs Athlete

(1/2)

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Thule Crossover

(1/1)

Pro: Comfortable all day wear- adjusts well to balance weight Versatile size- if lightly loaded doesn't wear like a bulky empty backpack, yet expands to fit 2-3 days worth of stuff. Durable material- resists stains and repels liquid, does not tear easily Large side drink campartment x2- coffee and water(large hydro flask) thermus no problem, and they don't bob about. Well padded PC compartment. Great pocket layout

Hiking

Atlas Packs Athlete

(1/1)

I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack.

Compartment

Thule Crossover

(1/1)

Where the North Face had two separate compartments, one large and one narrow for papers and the like, as well as a padded laptop compartment, the Thule has one large compartment in addition to the laptop sleeve. Additionally, the side pockets on the Thule are a bit small and tight for water bottles and other things that I tend to stuff in there. The hard case for sunglasses and etc. is a clever idea, but it's not easy to get items into or out of

Carry-on

Thule Crossover

(1/1)

Overall, this thing does what I need it to do. It's well constructed (it better be for the price!) and I can pack light for daily commutes or overnighters and heavier for longer trips. I may end up purchasing a more aerodynamic pack for the moto, but for the airport or the train, it's a great, versatile carry all.

Size

Thule Crossover

(1/1)

It is a very snug book bag, and can fit everything well without having materials move around and get damaged (books). This, however, has turned out to be a small problem because it cannot fit pants dress shirt and a blazer inside (book bag will not close). This is a minimal problem, because, when I change clothes and put my entire dress clothes in the book bag the book bag can close but it is difficult as it becomes really bulky and round. Overall I have been really pleased with the sturdy design of the product, it fits two macbook pros and an iPad along with 3 subject notebooks and a book

Strap

Thule Crossover

(1/1)

As i fully load the bag, its strap showed weakness early and i had to be careful carrying it with both straps when pulling it to wear it on my back. Then all the tabs started to stiffen and break. And the chest strap between the shoulder straps fell off from one side *check the photos Other than these two points, it was a perfect backpack. suggest a replacement as all their new backpacks are not well designed as this one
