 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 You have another little stretchy area. Here goes all the way to the bottom: a couple zipper pockets here you could put SD cards or batteries or remote shutters or whatever you like there and that's the the camera compartment. I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel.  It'S not like the foam that you would use for your backpack uh straps, it's like a very thick foam, and so they they sent me these, and i actually was able to do the install myself to upgrade this original backpack to be capable of handling a lot More weight and to just improve the frame and that's cool, i think it's important to reuse. You know products like this and to turn them into more functional, updated products when we can so we don't just throw out perfectly viable and useful backpacks and other type of hiking this one. So that's it! That'S my review of the bag. I think it's a great backpack, i i think it's um worth checking these out

 And then here i've got a long, a large version of a telephoto a little bit longer than your traditional 70 to 200, but essentially the the same grouping of lenses all right.  This bag is a 20 liter backpack. It is really a hiking backpack that has a camera core built in, and that is exactly what i was looking for and why was that? What i was looking for? You throw this thing on and you can walk for miles and you don't even feel the weight and why is it so comfortable? That'S the real question that we want to answer and we want to see these attributes in the bags that we choose for camera gear, so first thing comfortable, straps, obviously right, but the nice padding and the good form and the heavy duty foam. What makes a camera bag COMFORTABLE? How does the Atlas Athlete size up?

 If you want stuff that needs to stay absolutely dry, this is a well protected area for your important documents and things like that. This bag has been incredibly comfortable. The most comfortable backpack I've ever had that's also a camera bag and, as you can see, this bag expands to infinity. I haven't actually reached a point where this bag is full, where it's overfilled and where it's been too heavy to carry or anything like that

 It opens on the back and you get full access to the whole bag here in the back, and it has a little special feature called the origami compartment here, which basically allows you to turn some storage space into camera space or, like I said, storage space, and You have more volume for other stuff in the back. It'S it's very shallow, I'm an Olympus ambassador and I shoot with Olympus glass, of course, which is small lenses and they fit in perfectly. But if you have slightly bigger lenses, you'll end up putting them in sideways. Like this, I know that for future versions of this backpack there will be it'll, be slightly deeper and then normal full-frame lenses will also fit in upright or the general full frame lens will fit in upright

 They're not just smaller and larger versions of the exact same pack. There are some differences. this one has a laptop compartment on the front. This one has it inside

 They both feature this top flap drawstring top system and then they both have space down in front of the box that actually holds the camera gear and so with compression straps on the sides. Again, this is true for both models. You can stuff the pack as full as you need to and then cinch them down, throw a tripod on the side, and and make it work. Of course, made out of, you know, ripstop nylon

 Back panels are very similar with this sort of ribbed material. It's very comfortable. The biggest thing that I like about the the suspension system here is the waist belt. Now a lot of packs have waist belts

 just like any other outdoor pack you'd expect. They have the same suspension system for the shoulder harnesses here which is great. They both feature internal metal frames which again standard for hiking packs to help distribute the load of the pack down onto your hips rather than on your shoulders. They have or this one has an adjustable velcro thing for adjusting depending on your your torso height which is great can you get a good fit

 * Shoulder strap are really long. I honestly wonder who would use these things at fully extended.  Debatable: * The zipper pulls are locked in place with what looks like electrical heat shrink tubing. To me they are a unnecessarily bulky design though they get the job done

 And boy does it need it as the straps are kinda crazy long.  Cons: * I really really really want to have a chest strap that clips the two straps together. This is pretty much a standard issue item on any non-bargain basement backpack and yet there isn't one here to keep the shoulder straps from sliding off your shoulders. Admittedly, the straps stay in place pretty good but I really like having that extra support

 * Excess shoulder strap wedding stays. A small thing but it's nice that they provided some stays to keep that excess webbing from the shoulder straps from flopping around. And boy does it need it as the straps are kinda crazy long.  Cons: * I really really really want to have a chest strap that clips the two straps together

 This layout move the laptop accessories to the side to free up space for stuff (lunch?) in the main compartment. Different and totally Thule. * Comfortable to wear with good padding in the shoulder straps and back of the pack. * Very well padded and comfortable shoulder straps

With the dozens of backpacks I've used over the years, a big challenge over time is when the nylon around the zipper compartments start to fray, or the interior nylon bunches up and gets caught on a zipper.

Handsome, complex, pricy backpack

 If you have something a little bit larger that you want to store in here - and i like that, it has this mesh divider. If you want to kind of separate the items out that are currently in this pocket and then the last area that we're going to be taking a look at is the main compartment, and it has this really interesting zipper here to get inside. So you can see that the zippers don't fully close together and what i believe this is for is to allow you to kind of grip, this area very similar to what we've seen with some of mystery ranch backpacks like the rip rock or the three-day assault pack. It has this ability to kind of rip the compartment open, so you can get inside really quickly

 You also have a tiny little lanyard that has a plastic clip which is going to be a great spot to attach something like your keys or a multi-tool. The next area that we're going to be taking a look at is the laptop compartment, and i really like that you can actually access this compartment from the side or from the main area. So we're going to take a look at this side, access zipper here and it's a very tall zipper, which is nice to make it very easy to get your device in and out. One thing that i will call out about this zipper is that i do wish it had a better zipper garage, so here on this zipper, you can see how well covered the top of the zipper is, and it's kind of smaller here

 What i have here is just a flashlight and then next to that, you have a slightly larger one that might be a great spot for holding something like some cables, which is what i currently have at the moment and then on the side of this compartment. You also have an additional mesh zippered area, this one i really like for smaller items that i just want to kind of keep in place, and so you can open this up very easily plenty of space in here as well, and so i just threw in a Stylus in there at the moment - and i also threw in a nail clipper and then on the inside of this compartment. You also have a tiny little lanyard that has a plastic clip which is going to be a great spot to attach something like your keys or a multi-tool. The next area that we're going to be taking a look at is the laptop compartment, and i really like that you can actually access this compartment from the side or from the main area

Thule Paramount 27 Backpack Review - Versatile and Comfortable Everyday Carry (EDC) Bag

 One side of the backpack has a pocket for a water bottle while the other side has a zippered mesh pocket compartment with zippered mesh pocket and slip pocket. Shoulder straps were just super uncomfortable and I had to return it because wearing it with a laptop for an extended period of time hurt.

 There are commuter backpacks that are less expensive, but if you are looking for a high quality, well made product, these Thule backpacks are worth the investment.  Things I liked: • Pockets galore: Phone pocket, lined to not damage smartphones. Side pockets for wallets/credentials, etc. Main laptop pocket large enough for 15" laptops, plus pockets for tablets

This review is for the 27L black version. This is not my first Thule backpack I've owned that's about this size. I have another one about 8 years old and after very consistent use, it only looks like it's about 1-2 years old. These Thule backpacks are built to last

 This is the trade off for having a very heavy duty backpack. • As a "commuter" backpack, I'll likely use it when I commute by bike. It would be better if there were some more reflective bands on both the straps and the back.  The drawbacks are definitely not dealbreakers

Very durable - worth the premium price

This bag was purchased after obsessive research, which I didn't intend on conducting. I bought this as the best option for a delta size personal item. I've flown multiple times with no issues on dimensions though I do not overpack. Organization in this bag for a tech head like myself is phenomenal
